Beer is good, seemed like we were being rushed out. We got to taste four beers for free. A lot of great merchandise.
Don't get me wrong, Magic Hat brews delicious beer, but our visit to this brewery was a bit lackluster. The atmosphere of the gift shop is really unique, and their selection of branded merchandise is great. The tour was much shorter than others I have been on in the past, and they don't actually bring you into the brewery itself, which was a disappointment. The tours are free however, and they also come with a free beer tasting of up to four of their brews. I asked to purchase a pint of beer to consume at their "bar", but I was told they don't sell beer. I was understandably puzzled that the "bar" inside of a brewery does not sell beer, but I can only assume it has to do with their liquor license. Overall it is definitely worth a trip, but don't expect a full brewery tour or to be able to sit down and enjoy a pint.
We stopped here on Valentine's Day wknd. It was great bc we took our own quick tour of the brewery without a group which was great bc we got to see everything on our own. Our 7 month old was with us so we weren't looking to make a day of it. We got to sample some awesome beers and bring some back home with us. Such an awesome look inside.
We took the tour on a snowy evening and really had fun learning about the magic hat story. Our guide, Patrick, talk to us about how the brewery was started and how the beer is made. The short film on the process of beer making was fun and very consistent with the magic hat brand. The production facility and is look impressive.Of course my favorite part of the tour was the tasting room. We got to try things that were both experimental and only available at the brewery.I highly recommend this as an activity in the Burlington area if you're interested in beer.
They never fail to entertain and serve. Great people are always on tap as well as the great beer. Wish I was there more often!
We went there for our honeymoon and had a blast! great beer, James and Sarah were awesome and super friendly. They have plenty of merchandise to buy as souvenirs.
We stopped on our way to smugglers notch. We took our own quick tour of the brewery without a group which was great the plant was not running said they filled there quota and everybody in the plant got the weekend off we got to see everything on our own. We got to sample some awesome beers and bring some back home with us.
The inside of this place is awesome! Lots of cool merchandise and of course the beers. I think you could try four and there were three you could only try in Vermont or the factory itself so of course I did that but I wanted to taste more! Just gotta go back I guess!
My boyfriend and I stopped here on our drive back from Stowe, VT. It is a very fun place to stop in for a quick tasting. They give you 4 free tasters of their fresh beer. We tried 8 different beers between the two of us. Unfortunately, my favorite beer is still the #9, but the others were fun to try. It is very interestingly decorated inside and have alot of different merchandise for sale. I would have loved to go on a tour, but we went on a sunday. Overall, very fun its worth the stop.
Not only do they make my some of my favorite beers, but I also love the offbeat decor and the super friendly bartenders. We have been here several times and love the (free) beer samples, especially with their seasonals. The gifts in the shop are cool and quirky, and I love looking through everything, more often than not buying something. I haven't been on the tour in a little while, but when I did it was satisfactory and interesting. Go for the beer, and to buy some great souvenirs. Also, the bartenders there are also super friendly and knowledgeable, and open to talking to you about their beers.
