This must be one of the best children's park In the world. My grand children never tire of going there. There are also great walks and picnic areas along the lake. There is a water center In the park and plenty of car parking. A cafe which serves good food but the service is a trifle slow. The whole area is very well maintained.
Was there for Australia Day again. Loved Bushwackers, who were playing at the time, they really got the crowd moving. Not many stalls there this year. Could have something to do with wet weather. Variety Playground is very popular with a cafe between the two parks. Plenty of toilets. Shared walkway and public wharf, for those who access the park from Lake Macquarie.
I had an awesome afternoon with my family at Speers Point Park. Entry is free, and parking is free. There are different areas to the park, catering for (mainly) primary-school aged children. You need to supervise your kids, as it is large enough that they can get lost. There is a disability swing. There are public toilets nearby, but you have to walk a few minutes to get to them.
My three kids loved this park. The slide and the bike track were their favourites but the water play area was pretty popular too. We travelled over an hour from the central coast just to visit this park and it was well worth it. Only wish we had something like it on the coast! After a morning in the park we visited the local pool across the road. A great way to cool down and relax. Then it was was back to the park to utilise the bike track. Free parking, cafe on site, lots of places to sit back and watch the kids or plenty of opportunities to join in. The choice is yours!Just remember to take the sunscreen and mozzie spray. And pack your cozzie for a dip in the local pool on a really hot day!
What a gem. Great park for kids of all ages. Dedicated Bike/scooter tracks with speed humps, hills, a gas refuelling station and much more. There is the biggest slippery dip I have ever seen, a great flying fox and much more. You can spend hours here. There is a café where parents can grab a coffee, and lots of picnic areas. Highly recommend a trip with the kids or grandkids. :)
great slide, small bike paths for little kids, water play, sand pits, swings, flying fox, lots for the kids to do! near the lake, but enclosed so safe and plenty of bbqs and tables.
Wow what a great playground. You could spend all day here on the flying foxes, massive slides, endless mazes and water play areas, and the enclosed kiddy bike track. One of Australia's best playgrounds!
great place to take the kids,or have a romantic picnic for two, great playground is disability friendly. the park has many functions can be hired out,it is on lake macquarie so you can swim, fish , boat, and waterski. pippis hotel is close by as is the speers point swimming pool
My children have never seen a place like this. Everything for kids! BBQ facilities available. Bring your bike or skateboard. Lots of space to ride. Shady picnic spots.
The big slide was fun & bring your scooter, bike or tricycle there is a track set out like a town. At the park there are swings, a flying fox, sand pit and much much more. Stephanie Dabbs 9Elise Dabbs 7The cafe was also very good.
