While there was no activity to interact with or participate in at the time that we visited it is a beautiful setting with lots of great camera angles. The falls side of the mill is obstructed by natural growth which inhibits photography. Just to the right side of the parking lot there is a trail-head which follows the ridge of the ravine for those who like hiking. Take care however as there are no barriers to tumbling down a great drop.
Really enjoyed the old mill and seeing how grain used to be ground, Even bought some flour ground fresh at the mill.Scenery and hiking trails around the mill are excellent too.
Fantastic! I am always excited when I get the chance to go to the Morning Star. The view is like no other. Would recommend this place for sure.
Beautiful location for pictures. We stopped by on a weekday after labor day and they weren't open for tours.
Morningstar Mill is an absolutely spectacular property. The Mill and house are well preserved and definitely worth the quick tour if they are open. Everything there is run by volunteers and admission is by donation so choose what you feel is right. If you have the time to hike all the way around to the bottom of the falls it is an incredible sight. There is a gorgeous little pond at the base of the waterfall leading in to the stream that you will hike along the whole way in to the waterfall. If you are feeling adventurous it is also possible to walk directly behind the waterfall into a small alcove. I highly recommend this hike.
We love going there to watch the waterfalls and hike along the stream. Very peaceful and lovely place. Museum nearby is all volunteer run. Great location and well laid out trails. A must see in Niagara if you enjoy hiking.
I Love coming here to unwind, it's so beautiful, peaceful, picture perfect. Love the sounds, the walk is so relaxing. The tour inside I've done a few times & enjoyed.. Great volunteers. Artists destination too.
We went for our breakfast and everything was so good.Staff very helpful and can't do enough for you. It is a beautiful place to look around so peaceful.volunteers are wonderful people. We will be going again very soon.
Great views of the falls creek gorge. Nice trails to hike. Interesting tour of the mill when it is open.
Great experience when acual mill machinery demonstations are running, can be a bit dusty though. Not many mills restored to operation these days a real treat for the history buff. A nice family outing when weather is great, as the countryside in area is spectacular.
