Went to see "The Affections of May". Great performance by all three cast members. The theater itself is excellent. We were in one of the last rows and still felt that we were almost on the stage with the actors.
We saw Footloose at this theatre and really enjoyed it. The sound quality was excellent. We were sitting in the last row of the balcony and could see and hear everything. The staff were friendly. My only complaint is there isn't much leg room. I like to cross my legs and that wasn't an option.
I had the pleasure of attending the production The Last Resort. It was my first time at this theatre and I was totally impressed.Reservations were easy to book online and they were mailed at no extra charge (unheard of these days).I really don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Accoustics were great and there is ample free parking.I'll definitely be keeping an eye on what productions are coming up at St. Jacob's Country Playhouse!
This is a remake of the 1984 movie with Kevin Bacon. It was very well done. Lots of dancing and great music. We especially liked that young local dancers were asked to audition and take part in this production. Good fun.
Great script by Norm Foster, great comedic timing by all four actors. An afternoon of laughs- highly recommend. As stated by others, comfortable seats, good sight lines, very pleasant location with free parking. Well worth the 70 minute drive, especially combined with lunch on a patio, on a beautiful day.
I saw Legally Blonde, a Drayton theatre group production, which was excellent for $50.00/tix.Grounds are lovely, and the theatre provided wide seats with lots of leg room.
First time at this playhouse. It is a great venue for live theatre. We saw ":Snow White" Very funny and entertaining !!!!Excellent
The theatre is well laid out, all seats are good, as are the acoustics. Each year a variety of plays are offered. We have attended plays at this theatre, and several other Drayton Entertainment locations in Ontario, and always enjoy the plays. The theatre is close to Jacks restaurant, St Jacobs farmers market and next to several hotels, including the Homewood Suites where we stayed and liked very much.
My wife and I spent an evening at St Jacob's where we stumbled upon a Patsy Cline Tribute show at the St Jacob;s Country Playhouse. Staff were able to find us two seats and were we pleasantly surprised. The show "Patsy Clline Review" in this 100 seat playhouse was top notch, the main singer, unbelievable, the band, superb, the host, funny and witty. What a treat!!!!Get your fingers to the DRAYTON THEATRE Website, book you tickets and get your "butts" to witness this wonderful musical and while you're at it, stay a while to walk the quaint downtown, stay overnight at the great nearby motels and the next morning, visit St Jacob's market and outlet. You will not be disappointed.Oe more thing - Visit the Mennonite Museum where yo wil be teated to wnderful history of teh originals of tyhis religious rder.
Theatre was nice size and performance was top quality..They do a 50/50 draw at each show. Seats are comfortable and refreshments are available.
