What an amazing venture!!! The most adorable couple serving the best, fresh, homemade oatcakes ever. Can't quite believe we found this beautiful boat moored at Westport Lake one Sunday afternoon. Not to mention the cute seating area by the boat. We even had a bloke singing 'the oatcake song'. A memory we will hold forever. So if you fancy a fresh. homemade sausage, bacon cheesy oatcake with beans, tomartoes, mushrooms. Go give it a try. I promise you wont be disappointed.
Delicious oatcakes. Best I've ever had, could just eat one now. Would definitely return and recommend! Friendly service too. Nice little seating area provided.
Having decided upon a Quick walk down the Trent and Mersey Canal we came upon the Oatcake Boat moored at Stone. Being a Brummie I wasn't familiar with Stokie delicacies so I tried a Cheese and Bacon Oatcake. Absoluteley delicious and highly recommended.
i dont origanly come from stoke and i knew little about oatcakes and i wasnt very keen on the ones you can by from the shop but kays oatcakes are amazeing, they taste delisious. and you also get a realy nice feeling from sitting aside the oatcake boat and the canal eating the best cheezey oatcake you could by! true stokies <3
whilst cycling along the trent Mersey canal my wife and I stopped at the oatcake barge which was moored near to the festival park. Nice coffee and lovely oatcakes made the ride even more memorable. Friendly couple seemed to be very understanding to visitors who up to then did not even know what a staffordshire oatcake was, they do now and am sure they will be back for more.
Called for lunch on a cold day. Great light fresh oatcakes, hot tea, tables to sit at alongside the canal. Well done.
What can I say, Lady Kay in her Oatcake Boat serves delicious Staffs. Oatcakes made on her boat and straight out through the side hatch. They even put out a little table so you can sit and enjoy them on the footpath.I knew about the boat from Facebook, as I am in some canal groups, being on a boat, so I made up my mind next time we were in the Staffordshire Area, we would be on the lookout. We eventually found her at the Burslem junction, and she said she was coming up to where we were moored near Festival Park.We ended up buying her out of those lovely oatcakes! Really authentic.
A friend told us about this oatcake boat so we had a trip to Stone this afternoon and sampled these oatcakes. All I can say is...mmmmm the best oatcake I have ever had! Freshly made and delicious. My 3 year old son is their newest fan! Lovely couple too, see you again soon.
Took the kids to see the boats at the canal and made this amazing discovery!! Fantastic oatcakes and lovely people. Definitely recommend
