You can take a bus/taxi or make the climb up the stairs. From the central plaza you can easily make it in around 15min and it's well worth it for the views.
Beautiful views of Sucre from here. You can just sit and relax or shop or eat or drink at a restaurant here
The cafe serves great salads and juices as well as other foods which al looked great! Lovely walk to the top. Well worth the steps.
Great view from up here, the church & square make it very picturesque. The cafe overlooking the city has the best location in town, so not surprisingly it's also slightly more expensive (to Bolivian standards, that is). The Spanish tortilla was pretty good though!
This is simply a must-see when visiting sucre, great food and an incredible view make this one of my favorite afternoon spots for a beer or small dish.
To get there you have to climb a very steep street but it is okay to do. then you are rewarded with a stunning view over the town and hills of Sucre. Lovely! There is a museum, a hotel and a nice, small restaurant on top. I took a local beer and a plate with some toast, cheese, sausage, olives and I spent some hours enjoying the scenery.
For some reason it reminded me of the little town of Obidos in Portugal, which has terrific views of the ocean and the town below. It is one of my favorite places, and so was La Recoleta. As a plus, it was a quiet, peaceful place with just a few vendors of artifacts and a nice gourmet restaurant with gorgeous views and even an area with stone tables that is a bit to the side and can be enjoyed for more private time. Seems like a terrific way to while away an afternoon, looking down on the beautiful city, sipping on wine or beer, or just having lunch and talking to friends. As far as I noticed, the operators of the little restaurant seem to be the kind to hustle to give the customer good service, another plus.
not only the view over the city is worth it but for sure the museum of indigenous art is a must.It presents weaving technics and models from the regions surrounding Sucre. All pieces are very well presented and explained.A museum above the expected standards for a museum. One regret, taking pictures is not allowed
If you are in Sucre then this place is worth the 15 min walk from the main square. You get a great view of the whole city from here.
Even though you have to make it up a steep hill to get there - it is definitely worth it! The view was beautiful and the cafe at the top was tasty. It was lovely to sit and enjoy the view while we ate lunch.
