I must admit....I've visited Lincourt multiple times in the last 8-10 years and have been mildly impressed.....wines ok to good.....service a little spotty......NOW.....since my buddy Ben was promoted from Firestone winery....I make it a point to visit him EVERY trip we pass by!!! I know and trust in his service....friendship....and GREAT disposition!!!When this happens.....we buy wine and knick knacks.....so it's a win-win!!!Now...only disappointment is that they don't serve/carry a Malbec....like Firestone.....HOWEVER, if you can muster up a gutturral vocal and growl 'MALBEC' in Ben's presence, sure he will get a hoot and ask if you know me.....haha!!!
Perfect place to stop for a wine tasting and a picnic lunch. Wines are very tasty and reasonably priced! The Chards are not your typical oaky/deep chards. They are crisp and clean and closer to a Sauv Blanc! Just as I like them!I have been on both my visits to Santa Barbara and hope to return next time! Bonus: Free wine tasting for you and your friends if someone signs up for the wine club!
Stopped at Lincourt as part of a tour (with DeeTours).Tasting Room is very cool old house with lots of original details. The grounds are gorgeous - was fun to watch setup for a wedding. Delicious wines, great service (I can't recall her name) - even let us taste a new wine that was meant for the staff only. Our case of wine arrived as promised after we returned back home.A definite must stop in my book.
Our annual visit to Solvang ALWAYS includes Lincourt and the great little yellow Sears & Roebuck kit house tasting room. Gazebo and shaded patio seating relaxing. In my opinion, Lincourt wines are much better than their larger family wineries...consider THEIR wine club...
Lincourt is just outside of Los Olivos. It is a peaceful location with a great porch to relax on as you taste wine and look out over the vineyards. Great place to stop.
This is the starting point for Foley. We have been going here since when it was J Carey Cellars. The best are the pinot an the chardonnays as these are sourced from the Foley Santa Rita Hills. This has the old farm house feel with really nice grounds and good service.
My wife and I signed up for private wine tour and while Lincourt was not part of the initial list of wineries, our driver suggested it and we are glad he did. A nice find in Santa Ynez. Try it. You might like it.
Lincourt produces some excellent wines. I particularly like their Syrah and Pinot Noir. The dry, French styled rose is also very good. The tasting room team is knowledgable and helpful. There is a nice picnic pavilion with a lovely vineyard view. They do not have food available.
Had a great visit to Lincourt. The grounds and scenery are fantastic and relaxing as well as having some incredible wines. The wine tasting and service was excellent.
Our faith was put into the hands of our private tour with Dee Tours. Sue our hostess couldn't have been more friendly and knowledgeable. We really liked most of the 5 wines in our tasting, and we will look for Lincourt in our local stores on the east coast.
