My 7-year old is easily bored with playgrounds but this one has equipment to entertain kids age 2-20! Giant tire swing, rope bridges, etc. kept him busy. We enjoyed the ample seating for parents while the kid played. Beautiful wooden Danish-themed structures!
If I have the right park it is just behind town. It is well maintained...BBQ's and picnic facilities are there. but the peace and quiet and rambling paths are very enjoyable. Take a lunch or not...a good stop.
Pretty, with a nice play area, plenty of open space, and a baseball field. A little out of the way, and you'll need a car to get there. Has a nice feel to it.
There is a big fort structure with lots of bridges and obstacles to climb/cross/negotiate, plus slides, swings, cottages, a boat. Also a separate area for smaller kids.
The park has a huge castle like climbing game made entirely of wood, so it's soft and does not get so hot in the summer. It has bridges, monkey bars, swings and beautiful landscape. There are also areas with small wooden houses (ginger-house like) and stuff for younger kids. It's definitely waldorf style and my kids loved it.
Really great park for young kids - nice on the way back to Santa Barbara from Wine Country. Huge play structure, lots of slides and swings - and very clean overall.
We stopped here for lunch on our way to Solvang (because of the reviews we saw on tripadvisor). There are playing areas for older kids and younger (under 5). There are lots of covered picnic tables/benches, bathroom, large grass area for kicking/throwing a ball around. The park was clean and well maintained. There were lots of other families there. All the play equipment is danish themed - viking ship, castle facade. they have several regula swings and a tire swing.
Very fun unique park! My 6 & 8 year olds are already asking to go back as we are driving away. Good parking, restrooms and great for toddlers on up.
Cute park, nicely made, kids will have a blast.. Adults can do a nice picnic . Also, do visit the lavender fields which are about 5 minutes from there. Worth the time, And its free
I can't even begin to say enough good things about this park! The design is amazing, and there is so much artistic detail. I loved the mosaic work near the entrance and the way the contributors were honored. I loved the theater area and the way they used that for a nice excuse for lots of grown up seating in a central area where you can keep an eye on your kids. There is even a geocache, which always make mom happy! :D We are hoping to come back to Solvang and spend more time here.
