An education on the art of making Cremant de Loire followed by a tour of the caves and an extensive tasting
This small winery has a lot lot to offer. Our guide Isabel was quite informative and we learned many interesting details. The brief 'classroom' and video was a great intro, and the tour of the caves where the wine is stored is stored was "cool" literally and figuratively. Our pleasant tour ended with tastings and we had sparkling wines that we never expected would be so enjoyable.
Sir,Thank you very much for your nice comment on Tripadvisor! We do take pride in our wines, but we also want to welcome our guests in the best possible manner to share our passion! Off course we will be happy to welcome you back at Langlois-Chateau! Many thanks again and a bientôt

We try our best and it is great to read in your comment that you enjoyed the tour and still could learn a few things. We hope to welcome you again for the 2013 vintage!
We visited following good reviews in our holiday cottage guest book, and were given a lovely lady guide who was able to show the site off to us all (including 2 teenagers and a 7 year old). The place was spotless, and the video tour was really interesting, with lots of time for questions along the way. The caves were 12 degrees, contrasting against the 28 outside, but actually, it was really refreshing, and we didn't need the jackets that our guide had brought for us. It's possible to visit the vineyards, but they are up lots of flights of external steps - it would be possible to do the tour without visiting the top, but the view is spectacular up there of the town and chateau at Saumur. We were given 5 or so samples of wine to try, and our 7 year old was given grape juice so he didn't feel left out. No pressure to buy anything, but we did buy quite a lot - receiving a free LC branded corkscrew and a stopper for the sparkling wine (not that we expect to leave a bottle unfinished!!)Admission was 5 Euros for the adults, nothing for the children, and the admission fee was refunded against purchases. As good as any of the Champagne tours at Epernay.
