This was gift from my Girlfriend and Sister. Best experience in a car ever. The Audi was a great way to learn skills and car trust I've ever had. The instructors were very personable and professional. If You want to learn and drive I suggest You do this. I'm still pacing and can't stop talking about this day. May not sleep tonight. I will be back for the step. Thank You.
Such a blast. The instructor was smart , funny and taught me the best way to maneuver turns at high speed. Had a little motion sickness when being a passenger. I had a great time and now feel that my next car will be an Audi.
Very informative with a heavy emphasis on FUN. All of the instructors were excellent in their communication with a relaxed / non judgemental attitude in a high octane environment. It absolutely helped push my driving threshold higher. As a RS4 owner I am already sold on Audi's but what a blast to push the RS5 and the R8 to its max on arguably one of the toughest race tracks around. My only regret is that I don't get to do it every week. Sooo much fun, a must do!!
The Audi Sportscar Experience is a great way to have fun and enjoy the Sonoma Raceway! It gave me a chance to drive great cars with expert training and then to take a lap with a professional driver on the racetrack. It was the perfect gift and I think almost everyone would love to receive it!
This was one of the most memorable experiences one can have with their son in life. The program brought the two of us together like no other activity could. The AUDI instructors did an outstanding job of appraising our driving ability, and challenging us to elevate. The opportunity to go through the class, apply what was presented, and receive the realtime feedback while driving the RS5 and R8 on the track was priceless. My son and I drive our A4 & S5 AUDIs every day with an entirely new appreciation of the vehicle's capabilities and heritage. Highly recommended!Mike & Dan Mitsch New Hampshire USA
This was my second Audi event at Sonoma Raceway, the first being an all-day Performance Driving School in my own S7. In many ways I enjoyed the 3 hr Audi Sports Car Experience more. We drove Audi's TT model, much lighter and easier to handle than the 4400 pound S7. It felt like I was shrunk down and driving in a matchbox toy car - really fun. The instructors did a great job of getting race track drive skills communicated and practiced on the parking lot - cone motorcross course. This portion took about 2 hours and we spent the remaining hour on the Sonoma track in an S7 model following the instructor at a good pace. The instructors all had great attitudes and displayed a genuine interest in making the class fun as well as educational.
Wife and I have been here twice and had a great time. The instructors pace the course to your level, but you never feel like they are holding you back. If you are able to go faster they will let you. You get paired up with a partner what you share the driving with. For Instructors Jeff was the best. The 1 day Intro R8 class was great and will be returning for the Intermediate day soon.
Awesome program. Instructors were great and really worked with you to get faster, push the cars harder not to mention have fun! Well worth it for any track or car fan, especially fans of Audi products. I own an R8 and wanted a better idea of what the car can do. Quickly found out the car can do much more than my driving skills would allow. The track location is perfect for an extended stay weekend in Sonoma/Napa for world class wine tasting which made for a unique and great couples trip.
Laguna Seca is an old friend although I haven't visited her for at least two decades. It was a fantastic experience getting to visit her now that she has really grown up. And getting to visit her in a fantastic Audi R8 made it all the better. What a great group of instructors Audi has for their Audi Experience Team. Friendly and extremely competent; they had to be good because they put me in an R8, told me to go fast, and at the end of the day both myself and the car were still in one piece. A minor miracle especially considering what I was doing. I couldn't have asked for a better time experiencing so many emotions. From being scared to death to absolute bliss; and all just "sitting there" in the driver's seat of one little car that did everything I asked it to do. The only thing that held it back from doing what I know it really can do was the nut holding the steering wheel (at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock). One thing that for all my life I'll never forget is going 130+mph through turn two and Andrew screaming at me over the intercom from the pace car in front of me, "Get closer! You're falling back!" I mean... 130mph and I had dropped back to two car-lengths behind him: going 130mph and I'm supposed to stay within one car-length behind the car I'm following... Yikes! (to put it mildly). I was surprised and delighted how much time we spent "driving" (going fast as heck) on the track. And excited that it was me alone in the car without an instructor (actually I think they're pretty smart guys; I wouldn't want to be sitting next to me going flat-out as fast as I could around a road track either!). And the car... The R8 is nothing short of amazing! Learning how to get through those tight turns with the rubber taking me exactly where I want the car to go at exhilarating speeds: WOW! The whole day was nothing short of thrilling! And I learned a lot too. I'm ready to go again asap. My only complaint is the next class I want to take is on a day that I have a family commitment. I know: I should get my priorities straight... But I love my wife and she's the boss. So hurry up you guys and get more classes scheduled. To quote Jerry Lee Lewis, "You know what I like!".One helluva great Audi Experience: saying "Thank you" is such an understatement. It was a thrill-a-minute (really a thrill every second). Keep up the great work!Oh... One more thing. Could you get someone to go out to the turn-screw and put a brighter yellow ribbon on the tree. That ribbon was really hard to see and every time I aimed the car down that turn I just prayed that I wouldn't land on my head. Really! That was scary and I wanted to experience the car rather than panicking not seeing the darn ribbon.
The entire day was a great experience. The instructors, Andrew, Robert, Brandon and everyone else were simply amazing. They were all super experienced and knowledgeable, they did a great job of teach to different levels are realizing which students were at a higher or lower level and adjusting accordingly. I recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in car and driving!
