You get a great view from this site both out over the coast and along the Ramblas in Tarragona. On a sunny, clear day you can see for miles across to Salou. Worth a visit if in Tarragona for sure.
Here, you always find people looking to the sea. It's a very windy place that offers a beautiful landscape of the Mediterranean sea. You'll find this place at the top of the "Rambla Nova". Take a pic!
I wouldn't say this is my favourite place in town... however, for some reason, I keep on coming back to this amazing balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.The peace, the air, the salt of the sea, the kids playing... this place is perfect for couples, but also to be there on your own and find yourself wandering what hides there... beyond the horizon.
We stopped here first after arriving on the train - turn right out of the train station, go straight up the hill & stairs to find the balcony. Stunning view on a sunny day and loads of room to take photos without others in your picture! From here we had lunch at a cafe at the top of La Rambla and moved on to the amphitheatre and circus....
A place with an amazing view on the sea gulf. You can have a lovely walking on this street along the sea, with a view also on the Romanian theatre.
After walking all the way up the Rambla Nova, you arrive at the balcony, views out across the Mediterranean, and down below to your left is the beach and to the right is the port, if you want to go down there, beware there are lots of steps to the right, but there is a road further along to the left, which can be accessed using a sort of promenade or walkway called Passeig de Les Palmeres. This is also where you can catch the City tourist train, which is well worth taking.
The whole of the walk give you wonderful views of the sea and a taste of local life as it is full of the Spanish enjoying their Sunday stroll. Lots of food places just off so you can enjoy a well deserved lunch after.
