In the first week visiting family in Taylorsville, I found myself at the Taylorsville Tavern for three separate events. The first, a 21st birthday party deliciously catered by Kelly, owner of the Taylorsville Market, the second a Monday before Thanksgiving meet and greet free turkey dinner with ALL the fixings and the third, a huge turnout of family and neighbors for the annual Thanksgiving Light Parade. It's clear that a simple small town tavern can't be judged on it's humble offerings and appearance without being appreciated for it's importance as a gathering place for the community.
