I've been to both locations mutliple times now (predominately Sylmar) & I have to say each time I've been is always awesome. Thousand Oaks in particular has made some neat changes. The scoring system is now based on actual distance apart (not the "gap" between your best lap times) & the staff seem to be much more friendly & helpful. On the downside it seems both locations don't have their snack shops open anymore (or at least very much) & there's still sometimes long waits due to mismanagement (ie wasting 20min by sending out one kid by himself for a race).Overall I thoroughly enjoy each time I go to MB2 & will be back soon.
Our eight year old Granddaughter asked us to take her to MB2. It was our first time and we really enjoyed seeing our girl racing around the track. The cars are electric and go around a circuit on a large indoor tract. Helmets are provided to all riders. The cost was $30. for two races. Adult and children drivers are separated into different events. Forget the small arcade, many of the machines were out of service. Most of the machines are designed to select a toy or candy with a mechanical claw. It is virtually impossible to pick up any of the objects. An absolute ripoff, but no doubt very profitable for the owners of MB2.
Some friends and I have different work schedules so our days don't always line up. But when they do, we take full advantage of it. This time around, we decided on visiting MB2 Raceway since we have driven by it in the past and were always curious about it.The place is spacious and clean. Staff greeted us as we came in. I watched a few races and though the prices were higher than we expected them to be, we all really wanted to race. Despite how much we shelled out for the experience, racing against my friend was entertaining and kinda dangerous (my friend has the soul of a NASCAR driver).
We had my sons birthday party here on a Friday afternoon after school. Great time to have it. No one was there. We had the 2 race party and the boys loved it. Employees were very helpful. Loved the party room and the metals they gave everyone. Would recommend! The dads even raced! Fun by all!
A good, family-friendly place to channel your inner Formula-1 driver. They normally alternate between 10-person kids and adults races. One race takes about 10min.Pros:- electric carts- pretty high speeds (up to 45mph for adults, quite a bit less for kids)- clean facilities with food and arcadeCons:- no reservations - wait times can be quite long- can end up quite pricey if you pay per raceRecommended for good, clean fun!
MB2 Sylmar Raceway hosted my son's 7th Birthday. It was AMAZING!!! Krystal went to all lengths to accommodate our every request with such detail as our coordinator. We also had an amazing host who took care of each and every guest, kept the kids together, kept the schedule going on time, and the kids had a BLAST!Now my husband wants to go back to race with me!
the actual event was fun-ish but the management system seemed poor. The place seemed unclean, un managed and unsafe. My son waited for at least 45 minutes before he did anything. The place seemed poorly taken care of as far as being clean goes and I cant say the kitchen on the snack shack on the inside looked much cleaner. There also seemed to be a high level of negligence, my son played in the arcade briefly while he was there and was playing the candy claw game the only thing he won in the claw was a rusted pair of wire cutters left there while the machine was serviced earlier luckily he was old enough to not hurt himself with them. And after all that my son didn't even really love the event.
They have rules to keep things fun, but when they don't enforce them, you feel gyped out of your $20 race. We had 1 fun race and 1 ruined by idiot girls crashing into everyone on purpose. Then they throttled my car the rest of the race for some reason and played dumb afterwards. Won't be coming back most likely.
Went on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't real busy. We had an amazing time. We bought one of the package membership which brings your per race price down, free race on your birthday, a free tshirt and discounts during the year. It is sooo much fun, doesn't matter your age.
We travelled to MB2 Raceway from Stevenson's Ranch and the trip was worth it. The staff were very friendly and provided good info on the cost / specials etc. They had a special running which was $30 each for 2 races (14 laps per race). My husband and I were the only ones on the track for our first race. The karts were in great condition and were fast. We are used to petrol ones and were surprised how well they went, they even have a switch you can flick if you need to reverse! We had a great time and would recommend to anyone. Note; make sure you take covered in shoes to wear.
