Great to see the incoming tide draw all the surfers into the ocean, followed up by some excellent surfing for us to admire. Lots of good vantage points
Wanted to see the scenery at this beach and it was great! Shame the sun was setting and it was very windy so surfers were just packing their things up. Great waves, cool to see thr scenery of the movie.
Seeing the home of the first ever surf competition was amazing. The access to Bell's Beach is fantastic and being able to walk down and see the surfers was amazing. For anyone interested in surfing this is a must do.
Nice, clean beach, but can get really really. We arrived late morning around 10am, managed to find a carpark space, left mid-day for lunch, we couldn't find anything in the radius of two blocks, so decided to just head back to Melbourne.
This iconic place is worth a visit just to see what the fuss is all about. It is easy to see why it is a surfer's delight with rolling waves, a pretty beach and vertical sand cliffs to add to the splendour. So why am I , once again, bemused and puzzled about why we made the trip - there are more spectacular beaches, an interesting coastal walk with grand views and more reasons for non-surfers to venture to nearby places rather than Bell's Beach. But if you want to see a famous place, then make the effort.
are you a surfer? Yeah, you would have heard about this. Anyone remotely interested in surfing would find this place a proper piece of heaven. This is about 10 kms from centre of Torquay, right on the great ocean drive road. The south side Bells beach is accessed via a steep access road. The access road starts right at the car park and is a short one of about 250meters. Be warned, it is very very steep. The beach is about one km long with very fine sands. If you would rather not go down, you can just watch the surfers from a small platform near the car park. The vistas are gorgeous and breath taking.Naturally the best season is nov to march.Note: Clothing is optional at this Bells beach.
On our way to Anglesea we had to see Bells beach famous for surfing.stunning view. easy to get there, car parking no prob.
Beach is amazing with a lookout point and surfers going up and down the stairs it was beautiful with big waves for surfing!
I liked watching the waves and the surfers practicing their skills. Also, the ambiance and character of the area with swimmers mingling with the surfers..
Whilst on a road trip around Australia we decided to make a stop at Bells Beach for a look. The day we went it was overcast, cold and very windy! In saying this it did not at all spoil our visit! The beach is amazing and picturesque! Got some beautiful pictures! I am into photography and loved this spot immensely! The sand, the cliffs, the waves are stunning :)
