I want to thank the instructors who did a great job! It was my furst time ever on a board and i didnt want to stop. Great fun! Highly recommend Go Ride A Wave!
I had a friend over from Scotland and we decided to do a surf lesson. The instructors were great, attentive, but not in a way that got in the way of the fun. They were on hand with hints and tips and we had a great day. It was definitely value for money too. This will be on my list for all overseas visitors.
My 16 year old son wanted to take some surf lessons so we bought him a 3 lesson package for his birthday. The instructors were very helpful and professional. All equipment is provided and in great condition. If my daughter wants lessons when she's older I know where I will take her!
I would highly recommend Go Ride a Wave. They make everyone feel comfortable, from the very young to the very old!A fabulous first introduction to surfing for my 9 year old. Great value for money, with board and wetsuit hire included. Very easy online booking system too!
Surf lesson with this guys was awesome! My friends and I had a ball! Even thou the weather was a bit cloudy, it was definitely worth it!! They teach you step by step on how to stand up on your board before you go in to the water and it's simple and fun. I had never touched a surf board before and could play a lot in the waves during the class. Loved it!!
Fantastic service - our kids loved every minute of their 3 surfing lessons! Kind, considerate and experienced surfing instructors too.
We wish ratings selection went further than 'Excellent' for Go Ride A Wave Torquay. Our boys had the time of their lives (even on the rainy day). The staff were very experienced, friendly and communicated well with all ages. We cannot praise them highly enough!!!!
Santa gave the surf lesson to my 9 year old boy... he loved it and the whole time I was watching him, I was wishing I was out there too.
We signed our two pre-teen daughters up for an introductory 2 hour class over the Christmas period.Go Ride a Wave had a pair of instructors overseeing about 20 kids who were mostly beginners - might have been one or two that had been the previous day but essentially new to the sport. They prepared two sets of briefings based on a rough division of the sizes of the prospects, with a bit of off-beach instruction. Then on to the waves !GRAW Torquay had all the gear required (wesuits + boards of different lengths) and it all seemed to be in pretty good condition. The instructors were in the water and quite engaged with all the kids. They were very encouraging and not afraid to help with a gentle push to get the surfers moving. My only hesitation might be the price - its not cheap to do. Our kids loved it though and as such, I would recommend it !
