Thankyou for your review. We would love to see you visit again. Perhaps try visiting at different types of the year. Keep an eye on the Bucks Birds Club web pages as we update our sightings on there too!
College lake is a lovely place to go for walking and for the beautiful wildlife, there is also a cafe for you to stop off and have a cuppa before heading home again.
This place is lovely through the seasons - there are a number of routes but we always head around the lake - make sure you have good footwear as very muddy at the moment. The hides are good for children and adults - we take binoculars for the kids. We have attended some very good educational events here. Little café seems to be always busy but we can never even get drinks so take our own. Would suggest having a drinks can/bottle machine on the outside or inside the door to keep the tired and thirsty walkers happy.
My two grandsons (aged 8 and 6) had the most wonderful experience on this well led course. They had fun and acquired new skills and interests, which was largely due to the professionalism of the course leader and her two colleagues. In addition the visual aids, equipment, artifacts and activities were appropriate for the age group. Well done! Thank you.
We are glad you had an enjoyable visit and we look forward to seeing you again.
Perfect. Blue skies reflected in in the lake. Birds singing and swooping. Space ........You need need to be a wildlife expert to appreciate a few hours at College Lakes. Paths firm enough for mobility scooters. Delicious scones for afternoon tea in cafe!
Over 3 days we took 140 local children aged 7-9 years for a day of discovery. We had an amazing time - the children loved taking part in 3 different but complementary workshops which had been planned in conjunction with Clare and Catherine prior to the visit. We did a sensory walk, the geology rocks activity and a journey stick walk. We even discovered that Stig of the dump, who had been staying on our school site, had made a den there! We really appreciated the enthusiasm and flexibility of the staff, who accommodated our needs brilliantly - a magical trip, which we would highly recommend, thank you!
Thank you for your review! We think its fantastic when we see visitors brave the cold weather conditions to walk around the reserve! Theres nothing like getting out and dusting off the cobwebs with a nice stroll around the lakes!
Thank you for your review. Its great to hear what our visitors think. Our carpark is donation based and we are greatful for any donation you can give. We look forward to seeing you again.
