Beautiful scenery, but the park can get really crowded when the weather is nice. Screaming kids always ruin the serenity of a place for me... ;) Also it's a surprise you have to pay to enter this park when Redwood National is 10min away and totally free.
We visited as a couple in September. my wife had spent time researching a suitable walk that we could do whilst staying at eureka. This is the one she came up with. The drive was straightforward. We payed our entry fee and parked near the visitors centre. We struggled to find the start of the walk which was my fault I misunderstood the instructions turning left instead of right. The walk included both the Indian village and then along the coastal walk. Most of the walk was fine but a short bit had been damaged by falling cliff so it was a slight detour. But the views throughout are breathtaking. My wife favourite thing was the sealions we saw in there natural state frolicking in the sea.The only downside was that I didn't see any whales but it wasn't for looking. Go it so pretty and worth at least a dayEnough said
We enjoyed the trails walking to beautiful views of the ocean! They have many trails that offer a good workout. Bring a camera. Trinidad is a wonderful vacation destination.
Liked the people, the place and the food.Disliked our short stay and the months until we can return!
Love going here when the tide is out to play in all the tide pools! The views are amazing! I pretty much visit this location every time I visit home.
Most sites are too small for any motor home over 24 ft. Our site was #103, and it was so unlevel it took 18" of blocks to get the vehicle level. I will not stay here again. One saving grace was the lovely ocean view from our site.
Love the beach, love the hikes. State park fees are good in all state parks all day, good to know if you are planning on going to more than one.
My family used to vacation here when I was little and then I just recently went back with my boyfriend and his new tent. We explored most of the area, watched a sunset from the tide pools, and had a campsite right next to the ocean. It was amazing, and we can't wait to go back.
Great place to visit for low tide pools, be prepared for a long hike straight down the cliffs! Gorgeous, great view, awesome surf!
We had a great time hiking and learning about the area at the same time. Our son likes to earn is Junior Badge at every park we visit..and this was no different. All rangers on safe were very educated about the area and had no problem being patiant in helped my 10 year old.
