The museum gives an overview of the fauna & flora of the Danube delta, but everything is mixed with aquaria with exotic and exogenous species. It is all a bit confusing. But if you are in Tulcea, it is worth a visit.
Interactive and educative, it is a joyful experience both for very young and more experienced visitors.
Museum displays all information about danube delta in a very interesting way. small but well arranged and maintained. My kids(5 yr & 2yr) enjoyed the aquarium very much.
The museum is small, but very nice. It has a few sections: the actual museum, a movies room and an aquarium. We loved the aquarium. It displays fish from the Danube river, the Delta and from other parts of the world. It is worth seeing.
We did not expect to see such a great museum in a little town such as Tulcea. The museum seems recently renovated/updated to include lots of interactive displays and as such it is very informative and definitely not a boring, stodgy museum. It gives you a much better understanding of what the Delta is all about, how it came to be, about the plants and animals there, the life of the inhabitants. Very interesting! There's also a number of great fish-tanks with a large variety of species.Must visit if you're in Tulcea!
If you are in Tulcea City, a good choice to have a look what Danube Delta is about is to visit this museum. It will be a good introduction into the wild life of Danube Delta. Great experience !
They have some big and impressive aquarium. A lot of fishes. Aquarium bigger than a room !!! I must come back some day in future.
Is a brief review of the Danube Delta region, revealing habits, places that few people are aware of and also a brief review of the wildlife.
This is a small but interesting museum. First of all, it is completely modern - probably recently built or completely redecorated. There is information in English too. The exposition is mainly about the fauna and flora of Danube delta, about formation of the delta, traditional professions in the delta. The aquarium, though, contains a lot of exotic fish (and turtles), not living here, some of them so colourful and beautiful. The aquarium is not very huge but several kinds of fish, I am quite sure I never saw before, despite having visited several much more famous and much larger aquariums. I am sure it must be a fun for children to visit this place, and they will not get tired or bored, as it is indeed not big. The place is located on 3 floors (ground, underground, and 1st floor) and there are stairs, but I have seen a special lift too. I am not sure if it reaches the underground floor with the aquarium though.I do not have contact data of this place, because I visited it as a part of a package tour.
Modernly renewed, presents the Danube Delta life in an interesting manner. It has also a nice, well populated, aquarium
