Today the leaves were in there last stages before falling. If you are looking for a great place to walk come here. Numerous deer were walking around and tons of birds. People were out on a calm warm afternoon walking there dogs and everyone is friendly.
I love to come over here and get a walk in, see birds and all the nature, including deer, what fun. Get out and get some fresh air,it will do a body good!
Large park in South Toledo. There are two entrances, one off of Airport Highway and one off of Glendale Avenue. There are nice walking trails. A play area for the kids. Areas where you can have a picnic and use a BBQ grill. The metropark system is one of the jewels in the Toledo, Ohio area. There is no charge for parking or to use the park.
Sean Creek Park(SC) is one of the larger parks in south Toledo area and has multiple trails for running, walking, hiking, and dog walking or other. It's a popular park but has friendly visitors and still feels open and with room to spare. There are two main entrances from both Glendale Ave. and Airport Hwy. take the dogs, the kids, or the wife/GF out for a day at the park.
We finally visited the park and had a great walk. It was bigger than I expected and had short and long paths to walk on. I'd like to go back and bring our bikes. The Toledo Metroparks are the best.
In south Toledo we are so lucky to have this wonderful metropark! My husband and I walk here often including in the winter months. The paths are actually paved so that makes it even better for walking. The park has several trails at various lengths to choose from. We always enjoy the wildlife here especially the deer. This is such a gem and so close to home. Everyone should take advantage of our wonderful metroparks here in Toledo!
Metroparks in Toledo are one of the highlights of visiting here. Each afternoon we walked to get some exercise and to enjoy time visiting. Swan Creek holds some pretty tame whitetail deer. The bucks were in velvet this time of year and they were beautiful.
This park has a very good walking trail. We come with the kids often and walk the trails. The park equipment is nothing special, but the kids enjoy it anyway. Great place to visit!
Great selection of walking trails and natural features. The area around the park is not the best, but the park itself is very well taken care of, and very active. There are special programs and events where the Park Rangers do late night tours, stargazing, and more! Most attractions, and events are free!
This is a really nice and safe park to walk/run/bike or play at. They have several nice trails (some paved, some not) that are generously wide. There is water fountains for both people and pets (with a bowl at the bottom). The park has a lot of wildlife. There are several scenic viewpoints. The flora is diverse and attracts a good range of birds. The rangers are always around and drive the (paved) trails and keep an eye on everyone. It always feels safe. There are picnic areas that always seem clean, some playground space, and overall it's just a great metropark. This is my favorite to visit in Toledo (including the greater Toledo area). Also includes mile markers for easy reference. They post the number of the ranger who is driving around if you need help, and it is VERY well maintained.
