I spent 4 day at the White Stallion Dude ranch in Tucson AZ. The experience was outstanding. The room that I had was very nice and comfortable. The ranch provides many activities for young and old alike. The guest are very friendly and thy come from all over the world. Many of the guest come every year usually at the same time of the year. I met guest that had been coming 5 year which is a real testament to the ranch. I arrived on Sunday which is the horses day off so I just relaxed. On Monday I took a morning ride on a horse named Chief who was assigned to me for my entire stay. I really like that because you have a chance to bond with the horse. The next day I took a breakfast ride and then the wine and cheese ride in the afternoon. Russell and Mike True are easy to talk to and take an interest in the guest and their needs.
White Stallion Ranch is one of the best family vacations we have had! The Staff is amazing, the food is better than any I have had, the wranglers are all friendly and remember you and your horse (which you are matched to by personality and riding ability). The entertainment is always top notch. Truly…we were just going to go once and we have now been four years and counting. It is a must on your bucket list!!!
A guided tour on a open air car (many seats) allows the guests to see the canyon where many cowboy films were filmed. Worth going to see this if you are in the area.
I have stayed at this ranch for the past two years. Staff is excellent, food couldn't get any better and, of course, the horseback riding is the best. We stay for one week and enjoy every minute of it.
Another fantastic vacation at White Stallion Ranch. Great food, riding, friends, entertainment, etc. They just do everything right. The True's go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable.
I am an older women and do not ride horses but once or twice a year. My friend is 82 and she has never ridden a horse. We picked the WSR because we knew they were rated #1 in AZ. They deserve this rating. Our horses were perfect matches for us. They never had one problem on the trail. The complete experience was to immerse oneself in ranch life and we did. We even got up to groom our horses each morning. The atmosphere is very friendly and family oriented. We met so many wonderful people from all over the world. The ranch is so well-planned and beautifully decorated - a perfect spot for all ages. The great food and entertainment each night make it a full day experience. Everyone felt sad to leave and say good-bye to their horses and all their new friends. I recommend this ranch highly. It is worth every penny. The family that runs it is truly passionate about their ranch and it shows.
We just returned from a one week vacation at the WS Ranch. I had very high expectations ( after having read all the reviews) and I am happy to say we were not disappointed! The location is lovely. The property is very nice - beautifully maintained grounds, large and comfortable rooms, a very nice game room for children and a really comfortable and artistically decorated lounge, to mention a few things. The food is really excellent - plenty of choice (vegetarians should have no trouble), surprisingly tasty and in a lovely outdoor setting. The nightly entertainment was of very high quality. There was quite a variety and I must say we enjoyed every one of them. The rodeo was good fun to watch. We got to know some of our fellow guests quite well and enjoyed the social aspect. The horses and the riding - now that was such fun ! The horses are clearly very well cared for and well trained. It was very easy, even for beginners like us, to get comfortable and do a surprising amount of riding. There are all kinds of rides to suit different needs. The horses were very familiar with all the trails, which made riding easy and enjoyable. The wranglers all seemed very competent and very helpful. In summary, we had a blast. Our boys loved it and so did we.
I have been going to the White Stallion on the bed and breakfast package for several years and will continue to return. The people there are so wonderful, from the time you check-in the friendly staff is there for you. The gift shop, the breakfast staff, the riding staff, housekeeping and even the dogs make sure that you have everything you need and feel at home. Since I was there with the bed and breakfast package I did not attend any of the riding outings but I saw the families enjoying every minute of the ranch. The room decor is ranch, all the way, no tv's in the rooms (which is not a bad thing) but Wi-Fi is available. The rooms kept very clean. The White Stallion will celebrate 50 years this year and they have really made some very beautiful updates to the grounds. The pool area has been redone and very much improved.I left there this year and will start planing a full ranch experience for my family next year.
Excellent food / friendly service / riders are matched with horses to fit their experience / art lessons / campfire western songs / inexpensive happy hour / roping lessons / rodeo events / nature walk / swimming pool & sauna / hay ride / trail rides / team penning / story teller / skilled wranglers / line dancing / oversized rooms with patio. This is not your Grand Dad's dude ranch.
The staff and ranch were outstanding. When your there you feel more than a guest, they go out of their way to make your vacation top notch, everything was great with absolutely no complaints.
