  I attended the performance "Venus in Fur" on Nov 9, 2014 at the Station Theater in Urbana, Illinois. The performance was incredible. The theater is located next to the railroad tracks and beside a Carle education center. I parked across the street at the Save-A-Lot as instructed. The theater holds some 70 seats, and was filled with 40 odd attendees on the day I attended. I paid $10 for the 90 minute performance. There was no intermission for this play, so I recommend using the restroom at the back before the play begins. It's been a while since I visited a small community theatre, but what an experience. I arrived at 19:30 and was greeted by the director himself. There was no assigned seating, but several seats were reserved with people with disabilities. I sat on the same level as the stage and had a perfect up front experience, plus the generous leg room. Overall, the performance by Laura Anne Welle and Thom Miller were spectacular. I would certainly attend more performances in the future.

  Its been a few years since we have visited but we have always enjoyed the productions here! Great entertainment!

  If you are a serious theatre patron, you will like the Station Theatre. Their productions are consistenly well produced and well acted. This black box theatre has a very small seating area, so you should definitely plan ahead and make a reservation on their website.The Station's choices of production range from monologue shows to full musicals and everything in between. Many of their shows are edgy and/or contain adult content. These topics are thoughtfully presented, allowing the audience member to reflect and think about the show long after the last blackout.
