We stayed in Uroa beach bay resort for 5 days. Uroa beach is very beautiful and long. You can see really white sands there. When you are walking on this sandy beach you will feel very good. And the most interesting thing is tides. (I can't see it in my country) At mornings you can't find the sea on the place that it was the day before. But after 3-4 hours it is coming again. By the way when the sea is away, you can walk on a path in the sea to a white and bright dune.
Fabulous time on the island, especially my choice of Uroa Bay Resort for relaxing and meeting great people while enjoying the beach and culture...
Its an idilic place but only to view. The palm tree lined coast & the spaced out hidden hotels all make this place really quiet. If you like to stay within the grounds, chillin & tanning then its fine. The tide is out as far as the reef while we were there & when it came in it brought a ton of seaweed in with it. The place is quiet & if you have more money head to Nungwi.
We visited during the off season, so we had the beach to ourselves. It was very good. We stopped at a small hotel and ate. Very large portions of fresh tuna, salads, and beverages for a very reasonable price. One of our party lost his sandals on the beach. The manager of the hotel quickly got one of his staff to measure up the feet without sandals and sent to town for replacements. Exceptional but true to the way we were treated in this area.
If you want a relaxing holiday spent lying on the beach , then Uroa is for you. The place is beautiful, and you can live a bit of traditional Zanzibar going to see the seaweed farming during low tide or venturing to the fish market with the fisherman bringing their catch @ 12-13. Not much to do except walk on the beach so if you get bored easily would not recommend more than a couple of days.
Stunning locations for sight seeing, excellent facilities at the resort, memorable boat ride and the things that loved the most.. There is nothing to dislike.. You will love the place
This coastline is a real paradise in Zanzibar ! beaches , boat trips at sunset and also during the day, friendly people , wonderful sunshine :what else ?
Went there to view the beach after reading the reviews and was glad to have done this. Tropical island at its height. Endless Paradise
I really like this place cuz you can enjoy of the quiet and peace, no beach boys and turist, just local people and a few turist
Beach was clean, very few locals selling good. A place to relax and chill and take in the sun. The sea was lovely and clean idea for swimming.
