4 of us did the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, hiring 2 tandem cars and joined about 22 others to do a 10 minute timed circuit which was so much fun!
This is a must if you have teenagers, or you just love to drive fast. The Go Karting track is a replica of the main circut, outdoor karting at its best
I attend the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit every year to see the Motorcycle Grand Prix and I absolutely love it! It is an amazing and well looked after, world class track and grounds. All events held there are always well managed, easily accessible and certainly worth the money. Plenty of elevated, grassy areas for you to sit and get a great view of the track and overlooking Bass Strait, whilst still close enough to see all the action!
Great place to visit. Tour well with it and gives u entry to museum as well. Museum small but well done with lots of information. Only takes about 15-20 mins to get through. Go Karts are great fun and they cater for all ages with tandem cars, children really enjoyed slot cars and interactive racing cars. Can be pricey as have to pay for everything separately. Food in cafe good- reasonable for tourist place. Well worth it
We decided to hit the go kart track here which is a 1:5 scaled version of the full track. Simply put it was fantastic, great track and really good fun karts, it's nicely set up on lap times rather than position which makes for more fun again your friends. Just a tiny shame they are restricted so heavily that the straight is redundant as you top out just a quarter into it. But brilliant fun so go and enjoy!!
This place is great for young and old. The kids and husband had a great time. We booked 2 sessions each. I think the prices are quite steep and if you are doing two or more sessions, there should be a discounted price. $30 for 10 minutes is quite expensive if the whole family is going on the track. Staff were helpful and friendly. Cafe was lovely especially the outdoor area. Lyrebirds very close to us whilst having coffee. Great experience overall. Will definitely be back.
The replica Go Kart track of the ( Grand Prix circuit ), was a well run adventure, great for kids and adults alike...... (over 12 ) can go alone, ( b/tween 5 & 12 ) can go in a tandem kart with adult..staff were very knowledgeable with a focus on safety. You even get a printout with your lap times recorded.! We didnt tour the main track, but kids had a go on the giant slot car set and simulator...Definitely worth a visit.
It is our mission to visit every Moto GP circuit and this one is one of the best so far. The organisation of the event in and around the circuit was very impressive. Phillip Island is a beautiful place and the views around the circuit are stunning. We totally forgot about the traditional track invasion and I have to say it was an amazing experience especially because Rossi won it on his 250th Moto GP race and Brit Bradley Smith got a podium too. We even got to walk part of the circuit on the way home. Be prepared if you go - the weather is changeable and it's really windy.
We did a tour of the circuit, it was the first time for our guide, so he was feeling not too confident, but visit the circuit was nice (even if it was raining), and we had the chance to see, explore and smell the racing world.
Excellent circuit. Went to the Hot Rod Show there. Beautifully maintained. Great looking circuit. You can do go kart racing, there is a large scale electric set and museum.
