An outdoor persons dream they have everything with lots of choices. Plan on spending a couple of hours if this is your first trip here. Prices are fair and the staff is very knowledgeable
This place reminds me of Bass Pro Shops but tailered a little more to outdoor items. I really liked the sale items. If you can, go into the General Store and get the fudge! It is outstanding!
What could have been a bust of a trip to Reno, was somewhat salvaged with a trip to Cabela's. Despite the fact that I am not much of a hunter, it is a fascinating place to browse. The taxidermy animals are fascinating to look at, and I always enjoy the shooting gallery geared towards children. Come here on an empty stomach and be sure to hit up their cafe, its delicious!
Every time we visit Reno, we use to stop by Cabela's and show it to our friends and family, I am not a hunting/fishing person, in fact I do not like the idea of killing animals for fun, but my husband like to stop for the good selection of socks, and other snow items. Our friends were fascinating with the huge selection and with the enormous aquarium, plus the exhibit of animals, at the entrance, middle and back of the store. They have some racks with special sales and discount, and I found a sweatshirt that supposed to have 25% discount but the cashier didn't take it and since I never had any issue before, I didn't pay attention until we were back home, too late.At least, one of the employees at the shoes area took the time to check the price and make a special note with the promotional price for a pair of kids boots, otherwise she will charge us the regular price on them too.Oh well, next time I will make sure the cashier really check the promotional discounts and not only ask you if you would like to donate some money for wherever issue to round up your total.Another issue is that their CLUB members points are a ripe off, our receipt showed: "You could have earned $3.12 in Club points" from a purchase of $156.00. And supposedly we gave her our phone number thinking we were getting the points. Sorry to say but this time we were so disappointed at the check up area.We were thinking to visit Scheels which is huge too and has some enormous attraction wheel and excelent gelato/fudge area. It is located at Sparks just after Reno. But decided for Cabela's and it was not what we were expecting.
We often stop at Cabela's in Reno for our outdoor goods. The service is always friendly and nice. Our favorite sections are the fishing section and the home section. I picked up some holiday goods today. In the summer, its usually for camping or fishing needs. The animal displays are always wonderful to see. And its fun to do the shooting gallery.
Stopped in to check out life preservers for myself and a kayaking bubby. Found the Cabela's Guardian Series Angler 3500 on sale. Picked one up for myself and one for my buddy. Also found a few other items that the family would like.
Nice place to stop. Not only can you fulfill all of your sporting needs and wants, but they have a small cafe/deli, fudge shop and a kids shooting gallery that is fun for both adults and kids.A great place to stretch you legs and see what you have been missing in the world of sporting goods.Nice live trout exhibit, but not as fancy as some other Cabela's stores.I dare you to walk out of the store without buying something!
This is a large store so you need a lot of time to get through it. If you are a outdoor enthusiast or hunter you will find it here. Allow some time!
I am not an sportsman type person but this place left me awestruck. From the moment you see the monumental statue of the mountain sheep out front you know this is not like any store you have ever been in before or will ever be in again. The merchandise is beautifully displayed and there is something for everyone, sporty or not. There is a natural history museum in the center of the store and at the back. Over the front entrance as well so make sure you turn around when you enter and look up. There is a shooting gallery which is great fun, I know it is supposed to be for kids but no one in my family has grown up enough to think that is just for kids. They have everything in that store and I mean everything. From soup to nuts they have it all. Even antique rifles for sale, we held a WWII rifle used by the Russian Army. There is also and excellent diner in the store. The food is freshly made and quite delicious. You can not go wrong stopping at Cabela's!!!
nothing not to like here...We go to Cabellas ever chance we get. the vintage guns and used guns are cool too! we like the stuffed animal displays too!
