I visited Zoom Zip Lines at Mountain Creek on July 9th 2014. I was excited to go because I have never done anything like that before. The staff was very friendly and entertaining. The Zip Line activities were designed in a way that almost any age or size person can enjoy. I especially liked the ride back up the hills in the Mercedes Umog vehicle and the ride down the gondola watching the mountain bikers ride. I created a video of my tip for you to enjoy. http://youtu.be/GOcV5XLW-SE
We took my 10 year old grandson for his birthday. The entire operation was well done and very professional. Safety was a main concern and they did not let us down. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend getting the GO PRO camera as well as the picture CD of the still shots. Also I suggest going in the off season when the prices are a little lower.
I went with my 11 and 16 year old and we all had a great time. The first zipline in the set of 4 is actually a training line so you learn the proper zipline techniques. After the training, you take a gondola ride to the top of the mountain, receive your trolley, and take a short hike to each of the 3 remaining lines. Tip-If the wind will be blowing into your face as you zoom, have them give smaller kids a push. My son weighs 67 lbs. and had to be pulled into the stopping point at one of the lines. The suspension bridge was a bit of a letdown but ending with the unimog made up for it. This was pricey but worth it for the uniqueness but...I would not do this again because I don't think the experience would be very different. Defintely worth it as a one time experience.
Thank you for the review, glad that you had a great time with us! Please come back to see us soon.
Very nice introductory zip line experience. The Guide had a nickname taped to her helmet and I don't remember her name but she was very helpful. Four zip lines (the first being a short trainer) went by quickly. The tour consisted of three nearly side by side zip lines of various lengths with the longest being about 1500 ft. A short suspension bridge on the return and we were done. If you've never done it then it's worth the $50 or so spent. If you've ever done it before then it's a waste of $50. So it was worth a first time experience at a beginners level but it has nothing for experienced zip liners. Good for the kids etc.
Thank you for the review! I am glad that you felt safe because that is our number one concern here at Zoom Ziplines. We agree that our ziplines are a great place to start for anyone who has never been ziplining before. We try to make our tours enjoyable for all ages.
very fun and good for all ages. the guides were very well trained and everyone felt very safe. it's so easy. light walking involved. better on a cooler day than a hot/humid day. definitely buy the picture cd at the end. there is no other way to have a record of your experience otherwise. the pics are very good quality
Had a wonderful tour! Guides Candice and Russ were fun, informative and professional. I think I will try to go once a season just for the view. Warning...tell them at the parking booth that you are there for The Zip tour so you don't end up paying twice for parking. Your pre reg gets you VIP parking in Lot 1.
I took my grandson to go zip lineing well we had a ball, the zip lines over the water was grest. The staff very friendly, and knowledgeable. I didn't know but was told later that you can combine a water park/ zip line tour at the same time.
I bit pricey but very safe and professional and very fun. Kids had a great time. We went with kids ages 9 to 13 and they really enjoyed it. Lots of other stuff to do here too.
