It is a nice getaway as we love only 45 minutes away. The tower is nice because we don't smoke and it doesn't smell like smoke. The casino is clean
I was never into gambling...but it has become a fun "once in awhile" thing. Turning Stone is a glamorous resort that caters to all people....the best cup of coffee can be found there at Opal's, and if you order a drink while gaming, I recommend a gin and tonic, it was just delicious! Sounds like i had my beverages covered, lol. My man and i enjoyed a comp on the rooms at the resort's "Inn" a few miles away, and came over by shuttle whenever we wanted. Very convenient, very good service. We enjoyed the buffet on our last night there, but walked away like two stuffed turkeys...too much food, but that is the pitfall of buffet eating. It was very good, the penne with vodka sauce was yummy. I enjoy the casino as long as we can find the machines we like to play on....and they closed down a room to change carpet which was where our two fave machines were side by side the night before. We had to search alot to find our game, but did, and enjoyed winning! Made for a great last night there. I am happy with the whole experience so far, and would return again on comps.
Everything from the rooms in the tower to the shows to the casino atmosphere to the dining and to the nightlife; there is something here for everyone. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about TS.
Very nice and very clean. The parking lots are a plenty and very easy to get to the main entrance. We appreciated the non smoking area for gambling versus the smoking area which smelt and had a light cloud from all the smokers. Since we are non-smokers the area for non-smokers was great. We did not see any talent acts but what was advertised to come was spectacular. We did not eat there but the restaurants were a plenty. The grounds were well groomed and and there was any type of machine or table you would wish for for gambling. It is a place to visit and see if you are in the area. It was very enjoyable to visit and go there. A pleasant experience.
Very smoky, slots are tight. It is typical casino. Don't go in expecting to be a winner.reminds me of Atlantic City years ago before New Jersey banned smoking in public places. If you are for a clean, smoke free environment then you want to look elsewhere because you will leave smelling like smoker.
I visited Turning Stone's bingo hall with some friends. We played bingo and didn't win any money so I thought I would press my luck at the slot machines. To my surprise I won $60. I took my voucher to a machine to redeem it. The machine took my voucher and never gave me my money. My friend went to the money cage and was told by the supervisor there they would send a Technician right over and to stand by the machine. 15 minutes passed and no one showed up. We flagged down a floor worker and she contacted her supervisor. Agian they said they would be right over and not to leave the machine. Now 45 minutes have passed. Another trip to the supervisor at the cage finally got a technician to come over. They found that indeed the machine malfunctioned and did not give me my money. I then had to fill out a dispute to get my money back. The customer service on this was horrible. I work in customer service with ATM's. If a situation like this happen with us we would not ask the customer to wait by the ATM until someone got there. This is unheard of. We fill out a dispute right away so they don't have to wait around. I wasted an hour of my time and my friends time who waited with me. I received a cold shoulder from the technician and a quick oops we're sorry for the wait from the cage supervisor. There has to be a better way to treat your customers. It certainly makes me think twice about going there and it unfortunate because before we've spent alot of time and money at their restaurants and clubs.
If you want to go to a casino that is smoke filled, you want to smell like an ash tray, have vomit under your barstool, have people passed out in the lobby both at night & in the morning & lastly have people dressed like they're going to rob you then Turning Stone is for you. I will drive to CT next time.
The hotel is beautiful but, it is quite smokey in the casino and they should update the slots. The menu was changed at the emerald restaurant, which I did not care about, The service was lously
The Turning Stone is a smaller casino but has great amenities. Inside they have a few different hotels to choose from plus another hotel across the street that's cheaper with free shuttle all day and night to and from. They have plenty of restaurants.. but the best one is the buffet, its pricey but its definitely worth it if you're hungry. They also have a full spa, and if you use the spa you can also use the pool on the same day.. if you don't have a room. The casino also has lots of shopping and things to do. They have plenty of games on the game floor as well as a smoking and non-smoking section. Had a great time and will be back!
It's a casino with all the usual fare: card tables, slot machines, roulette, craps, bingo, multiple food choices, show room. It is quite smokey with a few "non-smoking" areas for the video gaming. Card tables are all in the smoker areas. If you are a non-smoker leave your jacket in the car!
