Follow the signs off of I-75 about a mile from the freeway. You'll find there a lovely little store. As the name implies they are indeed loads with a wide selection of nuts, but specialize in pecans. If you're willing to do your own shelling later, the unshelled pecans are very reasonably priced. They also have a wealth of jellies, jams, and preserves (both berry and vegetable). They also carry various local crafts. Its really a quaint place worth walking through.
My husband and I found this store last year when we were trying to avoid an accident with horribly backed up traffic on the Interstate. We made it a point to stop this year while on vacation and load up on some goodies. It isn't just pecans either. They have homemade peanut butter, preserves, peanut brittle, relishes, chocolate covered raisins, homemade ice cream, and non-edible items to look at. Just too many items to list. A couple of my favorites are the mini pecan pies and pecan brittle. Prices are reasonable and everyone is friendly and helpful. Definitely a place worth stopping.
We have never stopped and purchased with Ellis Brothers, but excited we did. We bought the white chocolate covered pecans, roasted pecans, and the cinnamon/sugar pecans. All the products were fresh and so good. It's a great restroom stop to buy yummy pecans and tons of other items. Next trip I will really stock up. Definitely a stopping point on your way to Florida.
Yes, if you need pecans Ellis Brothers has them. They have many different kinds of seasoned pecans along with pecan pies and other pecan treats. A fun place to stop on I 75 either going to Florida or going back up North.
I agree with other reviews. This was a good place to stop. Think farmers market stand not tourist trap. Prices were good, yummy peaches, pecans, fruit cake, and nut rolls. Cute bags to fill with goodies to take home to friends and family. Clean restrooms.
this is the finest place for pecans and coated/covered pecans and other items in the country. It might be a mile or so from the expressway, but well worth the drive. try various covered pecans and peanuts and other items till you fine the ones that suit your taste buds. they also have great home made ice creams. Pecans of every variety, from in the shells to various stages of shelled/crushed/whole that one can use. I like the pack with various stages from halves to crushed and in between. also the dark and milk chocolate and sugar free are a delight. When you are done, go across the street and take a picture of your family in a real cotton field. Dont miss this place, you will be glad you stopped.
I just wanted to remind people that this place is a must stop. We stopped here again on the way to Florida. Bought some cinnamon pecans and also white chocolate covered pecans. There is a few other pecan places, but this one is really one and only, exit 109 "We're Nuts-Ellis Bros" Simply the best !!! Great store, best pecans, great people !!!
Stopped here on our way south, kind of stumbled upon it when we stopped for gas. Followed the signs and really glad we did. Luckily we were here right at harvest season for pecans and cotton so we got to see both (cotton fields across the street). Tons of samples of pretty much everything they sell. We will always stop here now if we travel this route in the future.
If traveling I-75 thru Georgia near Vienna (Exit 109) you MUST make this stop! About 1 mile off the beaten path is this charming shop with pecans in every flavor, shape and form. Many, many selections and free samples of everything, including the homemade ice cream of which is absolutely awesome. They even offer sugar free ice cream and flavored pecans. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. This stop is guaranteed that you will leave smiling!!
We have been stopping there for at least 10 years every time we drive north or south from Tampa. We have never been disappointed. In fact, one time, we were traveling to Atlanta with our Granddaughters and my wife deposited some already read newspapers and brochures in the trash. Unbeknownst to us, she also trashed the last car payment on our car. When we arrived in Atlanta, we saw a post person in the neighborhood, and stopped him to give him the envelope so he could make sure it was mailed. Low and behold, my wife could not locate the envelope. We finally surmised that she could have thrown it away with the newspapers by accident. So, she called We're Nuts and spoke to someone, who we thought might be Mrs. Ellis. She explained the situation to Ms Ellis and she said she would check to see. In a few moments, she called back to say she found the envelope in the trash and would make sure it was mailed the next. Talk about customer service!!! Not only that, the products are some of the best. Let this be a testimony to the enjoyment Ellis Brothers We're Nuts is worth the 5 minute drive of I-75.
