This is a green valley in an otherwise not so green area as most people have to water to keep their plants alive. My favorite area is the lake at the far end form the entrance, but any area is a relaxing walk looking at lots of trees and plants
Probably one of the over-looked attractions here in Viña, being relative far outside the city and a bit secluded, but it is worth every detour. A huge park with different sections for different vegetation types, very well maintained and with a nice feel to it. You can spend a whole day just relaxing and marveling at the different species that have been planted here. In the center there is also is a nice little lake.
A very nice place. Ideal for take a relax and not far away as you can think seeing a map. Just pick up the Metro and you'll be there after 20 minute s walking from El Salto station or after 5 minutes in a local bus.
Without a doubt, this is the most beautiful botanical garden I have ever been to in the many I have visited. It's a ways out of the city; after asking the locals, they directed my family and I to take a bus to the edges of the city. The bus, of course, was cheap and easy to find, so that should be of no issue to any worried about transportation. The gardens themselves were exquisite. I've never seen anything like them. They are less of a scientific garden and more of a giant park for any who are going to expand their knowledge, but I'm sure they'd be a pleasure for scientists nonetheless. Imagine a slice of forest and meadow, dotted with strategically placed fountains, benches, ethereal passage-ways and local teens playing soccer...If you're looking for a place to breathe clean air and spend a few hours (or a full day, if you're as interested as we were) exploring, this is the best place I know of. Please do yourself a favor and go; my family and I have never regretted it for a second!
