Great local 6 screen theater offering up first run blockbusters as well as great independent pics. Low stress alternative to the mall complexes.
If you live in the area, this is a convenient theater (when they play the current release you are interested in, which often does not happen). However, it is relatively expensive considering it is an older theater, is not stadium seating, and is small both in size and in movie offerings. It feels kind of fun to go to this theater, but it is often limited so we have to go to Dedham, Woburn or Burlington for more options and all of the current movies.
Courteous empoyees, great movie selection, nice personal size, convenient parking and good restaurant opportunities= who could ask for anything more!
Clean, gets newer movies but all of the Theatres are tiny. I go to the theatre for the big screen experience. Screens here at Waltham are so small I might as well watch it in my living room, it is cheaper. Parking can be very difficult on weekends, making it iffy whether you can get a seat.
We were curious to see a newly-released off-beat movie, and this was the closest movie theater that was showing it. It's in the middle of Wlatham, but there is a large parking complex behind it that is free on Sundays (when we were here).Prices are a bit lower than at the multi-plexes in the suburbs, and seats are comfortable. There are plenty of interesting restaurants within walking distance along Moody Street
This cinema is handy to downtown Mood Street. Thus you can visit an array of eateries before or after the show. Lots of choices for movies that should satisfy most movie goers. Good selection of the usual movie goodies, plenty of party and senior discounts. Good place to "chill" and catch a flick.
The Embassy is always there for you when you're trying to see that Oscar flick that's not showing anywhere else. Plenty of parking available and ticket prices are reasonable. It's not one of those older theaters they have NEVER updated (I'm talking to you Newton). While you find stadium seating you will have fairly updated seating and sound systems.
This theatre was added in the mid-1990s to Waltham center, and since then has been a star attraction. Really nice movie selection. My only beef -- if you need to use the bathroom it's up a long flight of stairs, or by using a elevator that's slow or not working. But generally a great place to go!
Solid selection of recent blockbusters and arty films too. So many restaurants are nearby, so it's great for a date or family outing. Look for parking in the big parking lot on the other side of Moody Street.
This theater shows a lot of movies simultaneously, but doesn't feel like a big-box movie theater. The movies shown here are generally the more intelligent flicks. Foods offered are the general movie theater fare, and there an outstanding variety of restaurants on Moody Street for movie goers. Also, there is plenty of parking in the garage behind the theater.
