I went with my daughter's second-grade class visit. A temporary exhibit called "Freedom Riders" was on display and I could have spent hours viewing all of the artwork/mug shots. It was something I had heard about a long time ago and didn't know much about; so it was very touching to see the mug shot art and put yourself back in that time. There are some beautiful pieces on permanent display, such as paintings, antique furniture and china, etc. Very nice to view. They have a small gift shop with some original art/pieces for sale, and books, unique toys, jewelry, etc.It is a beautiful building, recently added on and renovated. Very pleasant to spend an hour or so there!
The Chihuly blown glass exhibit is in Fort Wayne until the end of September. The museum as a whole is very clean, neat and interesting art exhibits. I will be taking a membership there to support them.

It was ok not really much to see the crystal was nice and paintings if you are into that kind of stuff what was really cool were all the old bicycles, from every era dating back to the 1920s really interesting to see how they created them to look like police bikes, horses ect, only $7 to get in
The museum is small but is had some nice exhibits. We were there during the glass exhibit which was beautiful but did cost an additional $5.00 per person to see. They offer free parking in back of the museum.
At the time of visiting the rotating exhibit was on Realism, and there was a central exhibit on crafting. The exhibits are well laid out and carefully annotated, with the only gripe being that many of the note plates are very small and a little tough to read. The space is light, airy and conducive to a couple of hours spent browsing. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful - it was an enjoyable visit.
The FW Museum is so nice. They always have events that show case the community. They do a lot of Cultural displays that can involve the whole family. It is a very nice museum. I feel that the museum is a little small so you will see it quickly.
My husband is not a museum visitor, but he's enjoyed our visits to this facility in recent months. It's not only lovely and conveniently located close to downtown, but offers diverse selection of exhibits to satisfy most people.
Small, but nice museum with changing exhibits. Parking free behind the museum. Entry way has been updated in last year.
From featured exhibits to the traditional, this museum is on the cutting edge. Compares to larger museums, but is laid out in bite size vignettes. Something for all tastes including a room just for children where "hands on" is encouraged.
