As my husband and I drove up the road, purportedly getting us to the Gallery, we wondered if there really was a gallery called The Art of Humor, because the road seemed to go on forever. We thought that at the end of the road there would be a sign saying, "the joke's on you!" However, the gallery was indeed at the end of the road and a right turn.Skip Morrow greeted us at the door when we rang the bell, and introduced us to the gallery. He then left us to explore and enjoy. We were the only ones there. We strolled through, enjoying the wonderful art combined with humor, many times, irreverent humor. We loved it. We laughed out loud many times.Don't miss it. Don't miss the computer laptop cut in half or the picture cut to fit around the wall. Don't miss Skip's incredible talent.
This is a bit out of the way but Skip Morrow has a wicked sense of humor and displays it in amazing art so it is very worthwhile to seek it out. I guarantee that you will find yourself laughing out loud at his perverse sense of everyday things. Also, the building is on a lovely piece of land so it is a pretty location to visit in and of itself.
What a pleasant, relaxing afternoon we had at The Art of Humor Gallery with the amazing, amusing work of Skip Morris. This fun experience was made complete by Laraine and Skip's hospitality.
Located off the beaten in Wilmington at the artist's home gallery (Skip Morrow) it was an incrediblel site. The prints/pictures were funny and so beautifully done. Skip was a delight and there to show you around as much as you'd like!
Fun, and a beautiful place to visit. Skip was so welcoming and answered all our questions. I know I will take others back with me again.
I have stopped in here several times. The owner/artist Skip Morrow, a nationally recognized artist, is a wonderful host and has a great sense of humor, if a little off-beat. His collection of cartoon-like humorous images are fascinating and beautiful. Some are obvious, others take a little thought. All are for sale at reasonable prices. Even if you don't plan on buying, stop in and enjoy the visit. Skip is very inviting.
Wow! Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy the artistic humor of Skip Morrow. Whether you are an art enthusiast or not, you and your family will not regret the very short drive off of Rte 9. My 21 year old son reluctantly indulged my request and then he was quickly drawn into the gallery. Each painting makes you think, smile, and often laugh out loud. Great for all ages.
We originally planned a ski trip but after a couple of injuries we were looking for some other things to do. This was one attraction we had seen mentioned and thought it might be fun. This far exceeded our expectations. The gallery is in a beautiful spot and Skip was incredibly friendly, laid back, and welcoming. His art was definitely entertaining and unique and he was more than happy to answer any questions. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone visiting the area, especially if you have a sense of humor!
This art gallery is located just off Route 9 East, out of Wilmington. Easy to find, and a pleasure to stroll through and see all the humorous takes on life from the mind of Skip Morrow. I found it a great place to get gifts to bring back home. Appropriately enough, his humor even extends to his address: the gallery is located at Number 30 Not-A-Road! Skip Morrow was helpful and very informative while touring the gallery, and pointed out great places to see during our stay. We stayed at their Brass Bed B&B and were able to tour the trails on the property and enjoy the beauty of Vermont. I can't wait to visit in December again for the snow!
We had a great time visiting Skip's gallery. He was very welcoming and did not pressure to buy. His pictures were very funny and creative. Well worth the trip! Go visit Skip.
