My husband and I took our two lower teen aged grand daughters to Williamsburg on vacation. We discovered Waller Mill Park and had a delightful time canoeing. Beautiful setting with lots of clear water and nature around us. Friendly staff too!
family reunion in the park. Really nice location. Frisby golf is a bit close to the shelter areas but not too bad. Just a little taken aback with strangers going by so closely during a family function.
Stopped by for a picnic while in Williamsburg. Peaceful, clean and lots of tables. We will return for hiking.
Many things to do at this park and it has multiple playgrounds so a big plus for smaller kids. Easy paths to take a nature walk and a generally nice park to visit as a change of pace to all the other attractions in Williamsburg.
Nice little park with a lake and a variety of hiking trails. They also rent some small rowboats and other things. Beautiful wooded area and easy to follow trails. Great place to get a morning hike in within having to venture too far and still have the rest of the day left for other adventures.
It has so much to offer, both free and to rent. Rent canoes, paddle boats, fishing gear and more. Picnic tables in various locations, a dog park, walking paths, very nice restrooms, great history. Small fee per car (not per person).
A bit off the regular traveled roads but this helps make the place wonderful. Lovely in the fall and spring - reminds me of where I used to vacation up north. Plenty of activities and even has a dog park.
We had an overcast day and instead of spending money to go to the historic parks we decided to try Waller Mill Park. What a great spot. Hiking and biking trails, battery operated motorized boats, kayak, and canoe and fishing pole rentals. We rented a motorized boat and kayak along with a fishing pole. Spent hours out exploring the lake. We went through the tunnel and found that we were the only ones on the other side of the lake. Absolutely beautiful, even when it was overcast. Didn't have time to hike, but will the next time. Brought some sandwiches and picnicked at tables by the water. Perfect day.
everything is just great for short and long walks with or without your dog. Paddle boats and a litte fishing pier are also available
This park is full of massive trees. It is a nice place for a picnic on a hot day. There is a small fee per car.
