When I got close to this amazing bridge and I was literally amazed in front of this beauty, a bridge of extraordinary historical value, also built by the Romans some like 2000 years ago and still working perfectly. The visual spectacle is unique and from the bridge you can take outstanding photos. Top attraction in the city.
Ponte Pietra is a great place to capture a beautiful picture. I actually found that the best place to get the bridge as well as the castle in your pictures is from the next bridge down the river, it was near Piazza San Tomaso. I went at night and it was very beautiful. Enjoy!
Was a treat to wander over the bridge when it was so quiet in the evening.Beautifully restored giving a wonderful sense of old Verona.Love the bridges in this city :)
We were exploring Verona not really having a plan on going to this bridge, however we kind of just stumbled across it. It was a great photo location with the Verona hills in the background.
A group of 30 plus on the last night of a week in Verona came here for what we thought would be a special night out. Painfully slow service resulting in a very late night. Food was average, service very slow, sadly didn't live up to expectations. Perhaps they shouldn't take large groups on a Sat night.
You cross this bridge on the way to the amphitheatre. Walking through the arch though not as spectacular as vecchio bridge
The Bridge Ponte Pietra is one of the most central bridges Verona can be proud of. It is an ancient bridge popular for the great views over the Adige. You can take also nice pictures of the castle located on the hill in front of the city centre.
Make time to walk this bridge and view it from the side. It is not high elevation, but interesting construction and nearby old structures are photographic. It's also lovely at night.
we enjoyed a Saturday stroll over the bright blue waters towards the castle and really enjoyed walking over this bridge and taking photos up and down stream of the beautiful villas that line the river. Well worth the stroll and the look
What a beautiful bridge. Although it was badly damaged during the second world war it was rebuilt using the same materials as the original. They did a superb job and it is amazing to walk across a bridge 2000 years old
