Unsurpassed views of the city and islands. Access is very easy, the cost is olyn 8 Euros per adult (March 2015) and the lift to the top is pretty quick. You might need to queue but the wait is worth it.
Cant stand confined spaces or heights but put aside this for the spectacular view over Venice from the Campanile. Well worth the entrance fee and the queue
We went up to the viewing area and what spectacular views we were rewarded with Thanks goodness for the elevator since I would not have fancied climbing up all the way Since we visited in January there were no queues - either up or down - which was great
I liked the view of the city but you cannot really enjoy your time up there because there is a lot of people trying to take the best pictures.
As you're high up it can get quite windy and cold but from the top you can get some really nice views of Venice. There is a cost of €8 to go to the top which is reached by elevator.
Made our way to the square the first day of our arrival. After checking in and resting a little, we ventured out for some sights in Venice. Another way you might avoid long lines as we did, was to go before closing ( in our case about an hour before close). We were able to get in quickly without any real wait. It was still a little crowded at the top, having to wait a little bit at times for others to move to get certain views. Well worth it, the views in the late afternoon were amazing with sunset teasing us with a preview of all we had left to explore during our short visit to Venice.
