My children and I attended the Stomp performance. The show was excellent and they had a good time. The view from the seats was very good and the staff was friendly.
We enjoyed the opening night of RiverFest, excellent music and fun experience. Had a great time, very family oriented.
We visited here for the 2014 POCI car show. Three rooms full of great Pontiacs from every era. The facility was well air conditioned and clean. Metered parking was cheap cheap and easily accessible. Food at the snack bar super expensive thought. Eat before you go, and get a drink at the water fountain.
We have been here a couple of times. It has a good layout. The seating is well spaced. Food and drinks are expensive, but everything else is great.
We attended the production of a ' King and I" and the young actors were excellent. There were a noticeable number of Asian American actors and extras in this production that contributed greatly to the success of the play. The sets were beautifully designed and also added to the environment of the set. Great singing by several of the actors and the dresses and outfits were well-designed and integrated into the different scenes with accurate details.
Seating great, acoustices good. But there is no center aisle so people seated in the middle of rows have to walk a long way disturbing already seated guests. A poor design.
I was there for the Joe Bonuamassa concert. Venue was great for sound. Comfortable seating. Balcony seats. Only thing lacking was the selection of concessions. Kind you would get if the circus was there.
Great symphony and other music programs. Musical theater provides a wide variety of programs that are 1st rate. Numerous civic programs are hosted in the Convention Center - everything from the Flower and Garden Shop to Custom Auto Events.
I was invited at the last minute to attend "The King and I" put on by Musical Theatre Wichita and it was delightful. I enjoyed it immensely and can hardly wait to go again. The lobby got a bit warm while waiting for the doors to open but the theatre itself was comfortable (I did see a few women wearing sweaters). The building was easy to move around and find what you needed but there parking can be a bit tricky - go early. Although there are not a lot of things to do in the area except the city library which is great (and air conditioned).
A great venue in a futuristic setting. It is still ahead of its time in terms of design. A great place to perform in or take in a performance.
