Hubby and I rode here on our motorcycles from Ellington, CT -- it was a great ride passing farms and small towns along the way....and found this gem at the other end of our ride! -- Beautiful place to stop and take pictures....sit and relax on the benches found along the roaring river banks....lots of natural beauty here with flowers - NO Traffic, very quiet - nice people in this area.
A lovely spot on the Housatonic River.Sit in a bench by the river, shop in nearby unique shops, eat at the Wandering Moose Cafe.
Went here with our LEMC in August, very nice, fun to drive through and a great little destination for motorcyclists. Parking is a bit tough, we just parked along the street down the block. Very picturesque, serene
My favorite covered bridge in all of West Cornwall. It is fun to drive over and even more fun to canoe under it on the mighty Housatonic.
I drive across this bridge every day driving home from work. It crosses the Housatonic River, and depending on the season, you can watch kayak races, or sit at the Wandering Moose's patio and eat lunch, or dodge the tourists photographing the bridge. It's a treasure.
Just what I always imagined New England in the fall to be. What a beautiful part of the world. So quiet, quaint, charming, I could go on. An easy, pretty drive also. A must see if you're visiting the area.
a lovely landmark in the northwest corner. if you are a photography buff, this is a terrific destination. also nice to walk through and explore the town of West Cornwall. all times of the year are beautiful, but especially the autumn.
i have been going there for over 20 years in my treks thru Dutchess county NY- if U want to see one of the few countries covered bridges it's authentic and quaint- the beautiful Housatonic river and flyfishing spots- the foliage is beautiful- it's not to miss
Its such a wonderful bridge to see. A step back in time. Right on the Housatonic River. Not much parking and often not cowded
A beautiful and well maintained covered bridge in a picturesque setting in rural New England and less than 10 miles from the scenic Kent Falls.
