Finally received my Green Key Pass after my brother told me to get one. Went with my family visiting from out of state. Sat on the beach a few hours, then sat at a table on boardwalk and had the fish and chips. Food was great for beach food. They have a different band play from 5-9pm. Some 2fer drinks. Such a great night to spend with the family without breaking the bank. Weekends are packed. Go early to get parking spot, once lot is full, your out of luck.
After a very long closure due to a breach in the barrier island at Cupsogue after Sandy, and the piping plovers are now gone, you can 4x4 all the way back out to the inlet again. This is great, but the sand is very, very loose. But, pristine white and clean, Sandy made it beautiful again. I guess a silver lining, blessing in disguise...
We visited Cusogue on a cloudy day. Did some walking on the beautiful beach. Will be back to see the live music.
White sand, not crowded, outdoor and indoor showers and changing rooms, good food at the snack bar, reasonable admission
On September 13, 2014, a fire destroyed the Beach Hut and boardwalk area to the beach. Beach is closed indefinite. One of my favorite beaches will need to rebuild before it could reopen. Hopefully before next season.
The Beach is beautiful. It is a County Beach so it is open to the public. Parking fee per car load is $12 for non residents and $8 for those who have green key cards (Suffolk County Residents). cold Outside Showers and bathrooms are adequate. They do have lifeguards at this beach as well. the Fee is for parking only. there are multiple free access sites along Dune Road if someone is dropping you off and picking you up at the beach. Bring your towel, some sunscreen a beach chair, a cooler and umbrella and you can spend the day.
From the outset the beautiful place we chose to stay started everything off on the right foot. The Seatuck Cobe B&B is a must if you want to visit the Hamptons or see the best of L.I.
didn't get to go onto the beach but it looked great and so i intend to go back, there is a charge to get in but, hopefully, there are food services and other amenities to spend the day there.
This was the best kept secret on Long Island; a beautiful uncrowded beach with a fun beach hut with tropical drinks and live music, at the end of beautiful Dune Road. With camping and a 4 wheel drive beach, and parking close to the beach. Remains to be seen what will happen since the Beach Hut burned down at the end of last season. It would be a shame if it didn't reopen
The beach is beautiful and clean.Has a really good concession stand. Home to the Beach Hut which has live music every night. Nice long boardwalk. Parking is close to the beach. Would be nice if they had indoor showers thats really only my one complaint. You can walk to the Great south bay which is also nice to swim in. They also have camping sites, however I suggest you book 6 months in advance to secure a spot.
