Visited here recently after not being up this way for quite some time. The wines are wonderful and the staff make you feel welcome at cellar door. Love their Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz Barbera and Prosecco to name a few. We ordered a gourmet pizza to eat as we did our wine tasting, it was scrumptious. The wine club is fantastic and worth joining also.Always walk away from here feeling happy with my wine tastings purchases and knowing which wines to order from the wine club in the future.
Cold climate wines, especially Italian varietals. Stunning views from the cafe. Food is delicious and the wines a delight.
I would rate this as one of the best family wineries in the country, not the super slick corporates you get in the Yarra Valley, but genuine passionate people who live the vines, the making and the drinking! Great food as well, but it can get busy, so book early or late
We eat here whenever we're in the King Valley which is fairly often. The food and wine are great. The wine club is fabulous with delivery offered it also gets you a discount in he restaurant we really love this place....
Ok, wine tasting, an antipasto plate, glass of Proseco, then a bottle of rose, then an aperitif, a dance, a lounge on the beanbags under an ancient gum. Just saying, divine. Lovely waitresses and waiters. Not coping with all of this goodness:)
Visited for the La Dolce Vita festival and loved this cellar door immediately. Well laid out and modern tasting room, with friendly and very knowledgable staff made our tasting a very enjoyable experience. The reds were a highlight, especially the Sangiovese, as was the Prosecco as you would most certainly expect from this wine region (Dal Zotto forms part of a chain of wineries colloquially known as the 'Prosecco Road".There are so many wineries to choose from on any visit to the King Valley, and whilst is is sad but true that most of us simply don't have the time to visit all of them, this one is most certainly worth putting on your list.
Whilst this is practically local to us, it was recommended by friends overseas. My sister and I enjoyed a warm friendly experience tasting wines and after a few purchases that I have thoroughly enjoyed later on, we sat down for a special meal with our parents. A description of the scrumptious beef origins led us to know the actual farmer who raised the animal. This made the experience even more special.
Good wineryNo major standout wines but a good selection Worth visiting during la dolce vita festival... Food and music was great at the festival
Lovely service in a simple country setting. Adjoining trattoria looks lovely. Consistent good wines, some premium wines on show. The mass-market sweet fizzy belongs somewhere else.
Did we get lost? No Shane read of them somewhere so up the valley we go. Beware because you will buy wine
