Nice layout, honestly, I really only have played there early or late in the year. They open early/close late in the season. So, it has been one of the first rounds or last rounds of the year. Always seem to have fun. But, probably haven't been there under the best of conditions.

Challenging golf course with beautiful fairways and greens. Friendly staff and a good place for lessons.

Course was in great shape for a late fall round. Staff was very friendly which is always nice when you play very early in the morning!

To give a frame of reference: When I'm on the greens, people usually end up playing through and I have no problem with them doing so. Several nice long drives, great use of the hills. Enjoyed my time at Windham CC and look forward to the next round.

While on business, I looked for a decent course in the Canobie Lake Park area, and chose Windham. My initial impression was good, and the putting green was first rate and the people nice. However, when I got to the actual greens, although they looked similar, they putted much worse. One evidence of the care of the course, is ball marks on the greens, and this place had tons. Days old holes that had never been touched by players or workers. In addition, the condition of the fairways, while good in places, was overall not good at all. I don't know the history of the design, but it leaves a lot to be desired. I would call it quirky at best, with many blind shots or uncertain landing areas. Good shots were not always rewarded. There are a few very attractive holes, but more that just don't seem well thought out. I cannot get a sure sense of the players who frequent the course, but perhaps it's many who aren't members or regulars. I chose this place over Atkinson, partly because of greens fees, but sometimes you get what you pay for.All in all, disappointing, and I'd be reluctant to go back. I certainly don't understand why it would be rated top ten by anyone.
