The tickets are cheap, especially on Sunday's... And the parking was cheap as well. We went to watch the ftw Cats play with our family, snd had a great time. My only complaint would be their hot dogs were awful, and the people in the concession stand didn't know what they were doing.
LaGrave field is easily a place you can put on the top of favorite places to go! It's a very pretty little spot. Super nice seating, food vendors and facilities. But what makes this place absolutely wonderful is the hometown feel and old fashioned root for the home team atmosphere. Family atmosphere rules as does patriotic Apple pie hot dog snowcone whack of the bat good time!
This was my first time to a minor league game. Seats behind home plate were like $12. This is unbelievable and the same action as the major leagues. Players actually interacted with the fans before the game, signed autographs, gave away toys to the children, the best experience I have ever had at a ballgame.
We went to support the FTW police dept. vs The Feds for a charity event. Easy, clean and reasonable concession pricing made this a pleasant time for the whole family. A Cats game or a charitable event. LaGrave Field have there game on.
Went to a fort worth cats baseball game at La Grave field. Great seat very, very reasonable prices, good hot dogs, cold beer.Friendly folks Very easy to find handy parking. No parking hassle minor league baseball but very professional and enjoyed the game
LaGrave field is a shrine to how baseball used to be played. It's a quaint stadium, easily able to hold far more fans than the Ft. Worth Cats can draw these days. The Cats are a historic team, celebrating their 125th year, and still kicking. The team has experienced some down years lately, and it took a toll on the stadium, concessions, and frankly, the team. But this year they have really made a nice comeback. The stadium could still use some updates in the bathrooms and concessions, but it's light years improved from two years ago. The team has switched leagues, and play mostly local Texas teams (local including the Rio Grande Valley area). Prices are extremely modest, with Sundays being a real bargain. The players go out of their way to make themselves available to fans, and the team is doing quite well this year. You won't make it out of the game in time to take in the first feature of a double header at the drive in movie theater across the parking lot, but for little money, and a devoted fan base. And, after all, how many minor league parks have a claim that over 60 Major League Hall of Famers have played in their stadium?
Renovated a few year back with excellent parking and walk just a little to view the river and all it has to offer. If you like minor league ball than this is a great place and easy in easy out parking.
We went to the ball game July 4th (they should have told us bring folding chairs on the website) & watched fireworks RIGHT ON THE FIELD! A GREAT time for ALL AGES! Took 2 hours to get out of parking lot - some people ate & BBQed out- it was smart of them! Would go again next year. It's an affordable place to have a good time for everyone from couples to families.
This is such a great place to watch baseball and to just be. If gives you an idea of what going to a baseball game use to be like. There is no bad seat! The food, no more than you should expect, but the atmorphere, I just love it!
Friends gave us tickets to the Cats game and we enjoyed our evening at the ballpark. The views of downtown Fort Worth are spectacular. The food options taste better than the should due to the atmosphere.
