Thank you so much for joining us for a live performance AND a movie! We're so lucky to have a venue that's a great fit for a range of programming -- I'm glad you enjoyed it. See you again soon!
How American can you get? The Town Hall Thester is located rignt on the Green in the heart of Woodstock. Old world charm but the latest in current films and excellent cultural programs offered through the Pentangle Arts Council. Movies are actually on a reel and you can get maple popcorn to go with them. The Council provides many opportunities for musical perfomances, local community theater, school programs, and programs by locals who are involved in various aspects of the artistic community. In the summer the programming spills out into the Green with brown bag performances for everyone to enjoy! A place not to be missed on your next trip to Woodstock. The town is beautiful and the theater is just a wonderful complement to the vibes of Woodstock. HIghly recommend!
Every time we visit Woodstock, we plan a movie night! We can see any of these movies elsewhere is a big, fancy and new theater, but there is something very special about this venue. We love the old (and yet very comfy) theater seats, the location on the Green in Woodstock, as well as the Maple Popcorn- don't miss THAT!
The theater provided a nice venue for the community theater presentation of Rent. Cast did an excellent job and the audience was appreciative. It's nice to have these kind of venues available to encourage the arts.
We saw the movie, "A Trip in Italy" was a real dud. Should have read the reviews before going. But the highlight was that the snack bar offered popcorn with maple syrup butter. Yum!!! This small movie house is charming but old.
Nothing beats small-town life and nothing is better than experiencing a small-town theater which offers the best popcorn I have ever had topped with melted butter and maple syrup. You wlll be instantly addicted!
Don't waste your time going to West Leb. where the theatres are disgusting and dirty! This little gem is affordable and always playing a good attraction!
Thank you for joining us on this auspicious weekend! We are so grateful for the town voters and individual donors who supported the digital conversion, enabling us to keep movies in Woodstock for years to come. And I'm so glad you enjoyed the "grand re-opening" free popcorn special -- I hope you tried the maple butter, which is our theatre's "signature dish"!
Thank you for visiting the Woodstock Town Hall Theatre! Weekend movies here are definitely a centerpiece of the community, and I'm so glad that you enjoyed your experience. Please join us again on your next visit to Woodstock!
The Woodstock Town Hall Theater is a live performance/ Movie theater community venue which evokes a time and type of building quickly disappearing from the American landscape. Once you get past the old fashioned concession stand(do not miss the fresh maple butter popcorn....it is worth the price of admission all by itself) you enter a 114 year old 300 seat theater space with the largest movie screen in the area. Recently updated, there are actually two screens with one reserved solely for 3-D viewing. With a new digital projector installed in 2013 and 7.1 digtal sound the visual and aural experience is outstanding as are the acoustics of the theater. Whether a live stage performance or a movie a trip to this theater is like a trip to the past with the best of current technology to enhance your experience. Like the rest of Woodstock, the Town Hall Theater is an outstanding experience.
