We did the tour on the Beagle's Channel with Patagonia Adventure and we loved it! The guide, Lilia, the sailor, Alvaro, and the pilot, Silvio, are wonderful, friendly and always ready to make the tour the best. We saw cormoranes and lobos, we were so near that we could almost touch them. The final surprise is really nice!
Well organized, with friendly guide and crew .Many and good information in Spanish and English. The boat is smaller than the other tours which makes it a more intimate tour. They also serve coffee and hot chocolate and cookies. It's very, very cold and windy (and we were in the summer) and the sea little bit choppy. You will see Sea Lions and Birds and will take a walk on a environment protected island...
This was a very informative trip that gets you really upclose to the wildlife in Beagle channel including the Sea lions and different types of cormorants . You also get to trek on one of bridges's islands in the middle of the bay where boat lands for a while. The views are amazing.Luciano the tour guide was phenomenal and very informative and had answers for everything I chucked at him. The boat crew are really friendly. One crewmember from Cordoba was thrilled I knew who Mario Kempes was!!!(Argentinian Football star from the 70's) They also provide coffee or hot chocolate and cookies to warm up after enjoying the view and taking pictures from outside the cabin. My only gripe ? He "cheats" on the surprise!!! He doesn't show you the number!!! ;)
Excellent trip on an iconic stretch of water. Guide very knowledeable and took trouble with us as the only two english speakers on board. Thoroughly recommend this trip.
Very nice tour in a smaller boat when compared to the other options. As a consequence, the service is better and you can take your time when taking pictures or listening to the guide.Very friendly staff and the boat is also new and clean. In Feb, 2015 we paid ~600 pesos/person.
recommended by friends, we had a great time with the team and learn a lot with our guide. We recommend this agency!
A truly bi-lingual tour. You get up close to the wildlife, but without distressing them. You won't see penguins on this trip - but we did see them swimming so were lucky, but we go very close to sea lions. Great balance between informative, fun and professional. Well worth doing.
Patagonia Adventure Explorer is more than awesome!I visited Ushuaia's lighthouse with this tour on 17 December 2014.Initially, I didn't plan to visit the lighthouse because I had no interest in this kind of thing at all. But after I realized I had a free half-day, I and my friends decided to try as the price is cheaper than I thought too.And Patagonia Adventure Explorer changed my view of this tour and the lighthouse ever since!Much of this memorable experience was attributed to our great guide Luciano. He enjoyed walking us through the history of Ushuaia. Unexpectedly, he smoothly blended historical, geographical, botanical, cultural, and anthropological matters together in easy and interesting words that anyone can follow. :)Honestly, I never met a tour guide who has as diverse and sophisticated knowledges like the guide of this company before. That is wonderful!Best of all, the atmosphere of all 4 hours on boat was very family-like. I usually feel awkward with other tour agencies, no matter how friendly they pretended to be. But that feeling didn't happen with Patagonia Adventure Explorer at all! Here, I felt like going with family members, who are wise at inserting (not pushing) interesting and good amount of facts at proper time.Lastly, guide Luciano gave me a try of Yerba Mate, a kind of traditional drink widely popular in South American countries. I think it was not a part of the tour, but someone asked him about this so he took his drink set out to show us.I saw that drink before and it looked like some drugs to me.However, it's indeed a great type of tea with a unique way of preparation. It tasted like a mix between Chinese Oolong tea and Japanese Green tea, infused with somewhat bitter flavor.Thank you Patagonia Adventure Explorer very much for this impressive experience. If I have a chance to visit Ushuaia again, taking a tour with Patagonia Adventure Explorer will definitely be my first priority.Ming NatdanaiThailand
The staff was really, absolutely awesome (Lucciano Mathieu was our young, energetic, entertaining & charismatic guide) and the totally amazing dexterity of the Captain allows for the boat to be within feet of the small islands you navigate by to respectively see the sea lions, the cormorans and the famous lighthouse. You also go for a short walk on an islet to see some archeological sites (Aymara Indians' shelter grounds). Coffee and (good) cookies are served complimentary. A raffle at the end of the trip allows you to win the Argentinian flag flown on the bow of the boat during your excursion, with a simple expectation in return: for you to email them back a picture of you flying the flag in your home country: brilliant! We thoroughly enjoyed it and we are hard customers to please.
Had a wonderful experience travelling through the Beagle Canal. The trip was great, loved the sights as well as the short trekking on the Bridge Island. The snack given was also a nice plus.
