We came and brought a dinner picnic, and then stayed for the sunset. Amazing views, beautiful colours, and of course - amazing sunset. You won't regret it.
We loved this hiking this vista overlooking the winding Green River. The canyon floor is spectacular and we loved the history--some of the landmarks were named by John Wesley Powell.
This view is great! It is intriguing to look down at where the Colorado and Green Rivers merge. I was very impressed with this overlook
Another view of baffling and preposterous beauty. The view is so amazing and vast that it is in some ways disorienting. This is true of pretty much all canyonlands views (and dead horse point).
The vista is as good as all the others but the view of the Green River is limited but still well worthwhile a visit
Beautiful vista, quiet surroundings and panoramic views of the river and canyon! Just beautiful! Be sure to stop and take tons of pics!
Classic view of this awesome landscape, easily accessible via private car. dont miss this view point
Wife and I visited this area while in Moab, which was our original destination from Texas. After making the drive of 1200 miles this place was absolutely gorgeous. As busy as everyone's life is today is was just great to slow down and enjoy the beauty that God, time and Mother Nature have created for us to see. Spend some time and see this place because when you get back home you will fall right back into the rut of everyday life and wished you would have spent more time here. It's amazing.
Trio as usual still on the run in Utah, drive up to Canyon Lands, to Green River Overlook, see breathtaking refreshing views, at Sunset, see changing colors around, not to miss out, tske as many pictures to fulfill one's appetite for clicks! See it to believe!!
This is a must and a classic view of Canyonlands. For the curious you can try to work out how water can create the valley it has and for others you can see a stunning piece of work by Mother Nature.
