Theater is wonderful. But, if you want decent parking, you have to get there a few hours early. Also, it is a nightmare to get out of West Point.
Incredible venue and facility for shows. They DO have Broadway tours come through here - and every seat is just fine. The only drawback is that there is no method (perhaps only madness?) to the parking challenges - There is none to speak of - and when you do find a place amongst a a variety of spread out areas there is one (albeit very friendly) shuttle driver with a small bus.
Wonderful theatre - great seating, comfortable, great sight lines and sensational sound! Would look forward to going back for a theatrical performance sometime in the future.
The theater is wonderful...there are orchestra and balcony seats. The performance was Broadway quality. The only down side is parking is very scarce and if you don't get there early enough, you will be walking quite a distance to get to the theater. My advice is to arrive at least an hour before the show. Besides the parking issue, to get on West Point grounds, you have to pass through security and show ID. The lines to get through security can be long prior to a show.
A huge theater and stage, one of the largest on the East Coast. The building is wonderful, the shows are top quality, tickets are often available to the public and the view of the Hudson River is unmatched.
Over the years Ike Hall has presented a host of different stage events. The cost of the tickets are reasonable and include free parking. Two restaurants are on location. Check for hours. there are renovations going on at this time. In addition to the regular season there are free performances presented by the US Military band and orchestra. Check with the US Military Academy website usma.edu/band for musical performance events.
It is easy to forget how close you are to NYC, when you don't need to travel there to see Broadway worthy performances at 'Ike Hall'. Follow their website and see what great shows they are offering this season. I have seen Wicked, Annie, Vince Gill, Trace Atkins, Billy Joel, and several other fabulous acts here! Parking can be a hassle, so plan time for that. You can drop off anyone who has trouble walking on hills/ uneven terrain underneath the hall.
We saw Spamalot and Celtic Crossroads. Ticket prices are far better than midtown and the seats are great.
Friends and I attended the Sunday show. We were blown away by the performance! The band alone is amazing, but when you add Mary Kay singing, Broadway singers, Mike Bennett from Whud and the Hellcats?!? Well you get quite a show! I can not believe it was free! Eisenhower Hall was a beautiful venue to ring in the Christmas Season! So much history, makes watching the classics be performed even more magical!
Went here to see Toby Keith and the Theater was an awesome place to come to. All seats are very good and the shows they put on are excellent. I would say GO here if you can. You will enjoy it.
