The falls are absolutely incredible. I could stand there all day and just watch the water. The entire park is wonderful. We stayed at the west entrance to the park and to beat the crowds we entered the park very early each morning. Everyone needs to go to Yellowstone once in their life.
Our photos of both the upper and lower falls are absolutely gorgeous! A spectacular experience! We visited in the early morning and the vistas were not crowded.
Stop and enjoy the view throughout your trip. Amazing amazing amazing. There are perfect places to pull off to fish, or simply to enjoy a picnic. Plenty of pull over areas along the river.
We took the trail that starts at Chittenden Bridge and did the 6 mile walk along the Canyon. The upper and lower falls were so beautiful. You can walk down 300 steps at Uncle Tom's and get near the bottom of the falls-this was quite a workout but doable. The Canyon was beautiful I enjoyed this very much.
While I may never get to "the" Grand Canyon, I was very happy to hike to the Brink of the Lower Falls and go to Artist Point. The views of the canyon are gorgeous!
This is an amazing river that runs through Yellowstone. It is beautiful and pristine and meanders through a large part of the park. Although it is "catch and release", there are lots of fishermen on the river. You can have a "hot pot" boiling next to the river but there is no contamination to this lovely river.
Yellowstone National Park was named after this river. It is an amazing site to see. If you drive all of Yellowstone National Park there is no way to miss it! It's is a very clean, clear river. Wildlife can often be spotted on its banks.
The river connects Montana to Yellowstone Lake, traveling through the Hayden Valley (America's Serengeti), over magnificent falls, and on into Montana. The fishing is great. Living nearby, we have been there many times and always enjoy the drive. The funnest thing we have done there though was when the salmon fly hatch was on and we could catch them and throw them to the waiting native cutthroat trout. Don't miss!
What a beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the grand view over the canyon. A unique and unforgettable experience.
October was a excellent time to go, with the leaves changing, perfect weather, and the crowds pretty much gone for the season.
