The old oaks dripping with moss are worth the visit alone. Hiking paths. Ponds. But now you can also make it a beignet destination - with much shorter lines than Cafe du Monde! If you're into geocaching, this place is full of them.
City Park is one of our favorite places in NOLA, with new surprises every time. This time, we re-visited the Sculpture museum, rode the Surrey Bike, and hiked around the lagoon. Other times we have checked out the mini-golf and the Art Museum. You could easily spend an entire day here.
a up town trolley ride and a short walk takes one to city park many buildings and gardens to see great photo ops. In December one can see celebration in the oaks. fun for all ages!!!!
went here on the suggestion of the hotel front desk and was so glad I did. It is always nice to get out of the French quarter and see New Orleans as a local. I truly feel I accomplished this here.
We did not go to the attractions because it rained, but the park itself is nice to just walk around. If it is nice out, have a picnic at the park and go through the sculpture garden.
walked around park after the sculpture garden. loved the lake and the flowers, especially the colourful tulip garden! it was nice to see color after so much snow in the northeast.
We didn't have a lot of time here but it was a ice day for a walk in the park. It was very crowded but it was a Sunday so it is to be expected
Wonderful spot for photos and letting children run and play. Botanical Garden there as well. Grounds are beautiful.
Loved this park. We visited the art museum, the sculpture garden and the botanical garden. Great visit.
Yes, this was my third time at the City Park. I love the tour, the Story Book park, the gazebo (Pavilion), but most of all I love what they have done with the coffee shop area. The beignets and cafe au lait are wonderful!
