A large group of us visited this place. They had a large table to accommodate all of us and were pleasant in serving us. They had a 5 taste sampler for $5.00, which most of us did. They even had Creme Soda. Yummy!!! A good afternoon and a comfortable setting. If you purchase wine, they waive the tasting fee.
It was held downstairs, and one of our party had bad knees and had to remain upstairs. Wines were very good.
The wines were good but not outstanding in my humble opinion. Also, there were no crackers or anything to cleanse the old taste buds. In addition, they did not rinse out the glasses or provide new ones when moving from one category to another. Not a bad experience by any means, just nothing to write home about.
This place doesn't offer the charm of the vineyard tasting rooms outside town, however it's nice, the wine is good and they have a nice menu of noshes to go with your wine.
A lovely downtown Yakima location. We walked 2 blocks from our hotel in 105 degree weather. The staff very kindly provided us with water and then we tasted. Wines were nice, was very fond of their chardonnay. The staff was very efficient and knowledgeable about the wine and the local area. We also ordered a cold plate with veggies and cheese and it was lovely with the wine. Would definitely visit again!
pleasant in-town tasting of some very intersting wines...the ambiance was of a nice quiet wine bar...relaxing and different from a vineyard experience. the evening availability was key for our selection here.we sampled only red wines and purchased a lovely manchego and membrillo (?) plate to accompany the wine.a minimal tasting fee was applied to the wine we purchased.the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Not the typical tasting room, more of a wine bar experience. Fun shops and restaurants nearby by the old rail station and depot.
Knowledgeable oenophiles present a tasting menu along with a glass of water and snacks to prepare you for a great hour of trying a half dozen or more excellent local wines. Tasting is complimentary if you buy a bottle or two. Gilbert presents some really good reds and a white or two produced in local vineyards. Staff take the time to give you the lowdown on each wine before you taste, and this adds to the overall experience.
A group of friends and I went to the tasting room on the main street in Yakima at the recommendation of some locals. We are so glad we did! The wine was fabulous, the food was excellent and the was service great! They offered to give us a special wine tasting with their sommelier, who was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We are so glad we went for all these reasons and will return again whenever we are in Yakima.
This winery was small, but had a nice selection of wines. Brodie served us and he was very professional and informative.
