Very nice course. One of the best in the area I'd say. Beautiful club house with food and drink available at reasonable prices.
While here from Chicago visiting family in Alexandria we had the occasion to have dinner at Geneva golf club grill and was pleasantly surprised by how very good the food was, There was something for everyone on the menu and the wait staff was so accommodating, I would recommend the Geneva Grill to anyone
eat dinner watching the golfers out the window...pretty good food. friendly service. not noisy and can always get a reservation.
This is our home course and we love it. The course is in beautiful shape and the grass is thick and lush. Every hole is very different and the course tests your golf skills
Run down---ripped carpet, walls need painting, tables and chairs are shabby. The worst part was the filthy and sticky menus given to 3 of us. We each had the soup of the day...awful, salty...tasted like canned product. I had an overdone and tasteless processed burger. My colleagues had chicken sandwiches that were quite good. Service was very attentive. Very few people and it is obvious why.
27 holes converted from 18. Great challenge. Layout a bit goofy since conversion to 27 holes but most holes are picturesque with water on several holes. First time around may be frustrating but after a couple rounds you learn where to place the tee shot and course management becomes much easier.
I golfed Geneva for the first time this week. Nice course and I liked some of the holes. Conditions were ok but not as nice as I'd expect for the price we paid. It's still early in the season so it might get much better as the season progresses. It was a little confusing finding our way arond at times but we managed. Overall the staff was friendly and I liked the course. If the green fees were cheaper I'd give it another shot but most likely I'll try other courses first.Bob G.New Hope
Very nice burger for a good price. Beautiful setting right on the golf course. Casual, friendly place.
I visited Geneva for a bridal luncheon. The room was nicely decorated and our view was beautiful. Our servers were attentive and friendly and made sure that our entire party was always taken care of. I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap and it was delish, nothing too special but I'd order it again. I did get a side of cheese for my waffle fries and THAT made my meal. Call me crazy, but I LOVE cheese fries. This cheese was less of a regular cheddar and more of a nacho with a kick. It had a little bite and added just enough spice to the meal. I could've poured it over everything! We also had the spinach dip appetizer and it too was delish. I would have liked a softer bread to go with it but that's just personal preference. Don't get me wrong, the crostinis that were served with the dip were good but I always prefer softer bread. One more plus that I have to mention... the house wine is Menage A Trois...which happens to make my favorite Pinor Noir. I was thrilled!
I had some free time while in Alexandria so I drove to the Geneva Golf club. I was able to get on with no problems, Was able to play all 27 holes. Each hole has it's own character to it. It was in the best condition and the greens were true and fast. The grounds crew does an excellent job keeping it in superb shape. This is a must for anyone who loves the game of golf. Well worth your time to play every hole.
