Overall a good facility but you could get lost finding some of the rooms. With the mall right across the street and within walking distance to many hotels and restaurants it is a good location. When you enter the doors you may hear a tone. Take a minute and read the plaque by the center door and the sounds will be explained
Attending a large conference here and the space was huge and very nice and well kept up with. It was a lovely facility worth visiting for a convention or other event.
This is a nice convention center. The wifi hotspot we paid for didn't work reliably, but orher than rhat, it was very nice. 7000 people in one room with pretty good seats all around and huge video screens for better close-ups of the on-stage action. Well done!
Near many good restaurants within short walking distance. Internet was fast. Bathrooms were crowded and several were out of order..
This is a very clean and grand place. I recently attended a conference here.... let me say it is HUGE!!!! A very nice facility!!!
This is a very functional convention center, and is convenient to City Creek mall food establishments. It is also close to the tram system...which is heavily occupied by homeless people just riding around. Diet Cokes are $3.50. Seemed a bit pricey. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of with little things like that.
I go to conferences quite often, and it is interesting how efficiently (or not) strangers are handled in a strange, very busy place. There are literally thousands of people trying to find their way around unfamiliar territory. I walked miles and miles during my several days here: lots of unmarked rooms (ballroom F, for example), making them almost impossible to find. Why make it so complicated? Even the main registration desk is tucked-away inside a ballroom, with no signs in the main traffic area.
This place is enormous! Plan to walk. The rooms are marked clearly and easy to navigate. They have ample space, bathrooms, and escalators.
I went there for a conference. Most participants would have surely complained about the lack of proper signage/directions within the centre to guide first timers in such a huge structure. I spent a lot of time finding the conference room/rooms I had to be in.
This is the second conference I've attended at the Salt Palace Convention center and I am still amazed and how large and well laid out it is. This conference reportedly had over 20,000 attendees, but you rarely felt it.
