Take the kids often. Always have a good time. Nice double A ball park. Entertainment for the children and pretty good caliber of baseball too.
The stadium itself is average. We took a few boys there for my son's 9th birthday. There were a few staff members that were very rude and the announcer messed up on announcing my son's birthday....did not even attempt to pronounce my daughter's name(really not that hard). Will not be going back to that stadium.
It smells like a port a potty especially on a hot day but it's a nice park itself otherwise. Well kept field and helpful employees working the ticket windows and concessions. Sit in section 210 for the perfect view!Go Mudcats!
My family enjoys going to the games here. It is always clean and very friendly. They have dollar dog nights and thirsty Thursdays. So they offer deals to help out with food costs. It is out in the middle of nowhere. But I like it that way, less traffic.
Beautiful stadium, great view from anywhere, good food at reasonable prices. Fun activities between innings.
The prices are reasonable and the place is clean. I always enjoy going. The concession prices are normal ball park prices. Parking is close and they have fire works some nights. It is easy to get to from the highway.
off NC 264, a water-tower beckons, the only structure in sight except for Five County Stadium, home of the now-Class A Carolina Mudcats. A lovely, lovely stadium with terrific concessions (hot dogs, $3, even when they're not on special), a nice assortment of beers and a concoction consisting of barbecue, beans and coleslaw all in one bucket. Doctor's permission required for a second order. Personnel exceptionally friendly. Not a bad seat anywhere -- from the concourse behind home plate, it's like watching live TV on a gigantic screen with 5,000 of your best friends. Downer: Parking, dusty, bumpy lot, $5 fee. Gotta' make it up some place.
Great place to take the family and enjoy the sights and sounds of baseball! Most seat prices are reasonable and on special nights you can get hot dogs for $1.00! The stadium is beautiful! Their mascot Muddy The Mudcat is a lot of fun to watch as he interacts with the crowd. Amazing fireworks for July 4th also.
This is a great stadium for A league baseball. It is convenient right off the highway with plenty of parking. Parking is $5 though although it includes a program. Tickets are reasonable with field level at $12 and box seats at $11 but there are usually promotions available to get a better deal. The box seats can get a lot of sun on day games so take that into consideration if you get a seat there. Just like other ball parks, food at the consession stands is expensive. A cheeseburger, fries and bottle of water was $12. There were signs up for concession deals on various nights. All the employees were friendly and helpful as I found my way around the stadium. I will definately return as it was a fun afternoon and the seats were really close to the field. I also liked how involved the Mascot was and how the stadium did various activities between innings.
Entertainment doesn't get much cheaper than this. Usually one can get free tickets. It gets hot so make sure you pay attention to where you sit....if it will be in the shade or not. Sometimes a ball will get over the net so pay attention. My nephew caught a foul ball this past season. There are funny skits that the mascot participates in during the game. The food is moderately priced. Parking is in a dirt lot.
